A common G1 kind of day.... The decepticons are in the the jungle stealing oil and crap and the autobots rush in to further the plot.... Megs charges Prime but slips on a banana peel .... Starsceam yells "Megatron has fallen, I am the new leader"...Megs gets up and says " Due to Starscreams treachery, we must retreat, back to base! And Starscream just you wait to we get back!!!" ... Starscream"GULP" and the the autobots take credit for saving the day

I recall hearing sometihng aobut that's what they wantedi n Starscream when they cast Latta, but I could be wrong...

my point is that Latta or Wally Burr or whoever was responsible for the way he acted in G1, and since G1 defined these characters... well you get the point

I just tihnk it fits the way he is generally portayed.

 

now in Cybertron, where's he;s not a whiny bastard that alternates between sucking up and Powerglideign up back stabbing, he should have a new voice. the japanese voice suited him pretty well, actually.
