Basically the shoulders are a take it or leave it. they look in person, just like they do online

If they had been able to get rid of those shoulder pads (a la Laser Prime), leaving the head as the highest part, then I think that would have greatly improved the bot mode. It would have left him looking bulky and powerful.

Yep there is no hiding them.  WTF was Hasbro thinking, maybe this is why Takara decided against Prime/Truck.

 

You know though...with such a so-so mold (don't want to say bad yet) maybe he should be repainted/kitbashed into Rodimus Prime.

 

Oh and for those who didn't know, those big black things on the underside of Optimus Primes forearms are the seats.

 

I also forgot to mention that if you have fat fingers like I do, you will need something to pry out his feet if they're stiff.

 

This Alt. is gonna have to be like a music CD that has at least on hit on it, you hope the thing grows on you.

There are so many things they could have done better. For instance, bicep joints like Skids would have been nice. I have been saying for a long time they should have made his legs extend higher but now that I have him in person, looking at where his knees are actually placed and how short his body is, his legs are preportioned well.

If you press down on the area beside the ball joint, his toe will raise and make it easy to grab.

The knees are as good as Skids and Prowl*With leg mod* The way his toe twist, really helps his poses too. here's a pose I Posted in my gallery.

 

It really looks good. Coincidently, I have Laserwave right in front of me!

One more question: Is he taller than the mustangs?
