Aoi's Customs! Feat. Grimlock and Primal

Recommended Posts

Hiya guys.

These are some of my earliest customs I've done. I've been thinking about getting back into customization(mostly repaints) hobby...so I figured I'd show off some of my oldest ones.

My first one is Transmetal Prime, done up in a scheme similar to his S1 design. The pictures were taken in 2002, on a cheap-ass webcam(though, at the time it was sorta expensive..but oh well.) He hasn't faired as well as Grimlock, so I'd probally have to give him a complete redo of a paint job if I wanted to get recent photos.

I thought about painting the red tri-design he had on the show on his armor, but I never did get around to it. With the Titanium OpOp release, I'm tempted to give it his S1 color design too, as I've been curious how it'd look.

Next up is Grimlock...I also understand completely now why I never took pictures of his beast mode before. He really let himself go. Oh, and he also lost his spine...so he's spinless as well. XP Made from a KO Dinozuars/zone toy.  (These pics were taken recently, the kitbash itself was done in 2002 or thereabouts.)

So, first off is his beast mode.

So, questions, comments(besides "clean up your desk"), etc?

Thanks guys. I started to think, after I got out of repainting TFs, I started painting Gundams. Would it be alright if I started posting them here?

There's a whole thread for model kits and stuff that you could post pics of your Gundams at. Here's a link.

The Primal looks interesting, the colour scheme looks good but the head doesn't suit that scheme IMO. It's still a very good paint job.

Yeah...the head isn't the best, but it was my first project and I didn't know anything about adding on/rescuplting a head. I still don't. ^_^;; Anywho, I'll get my painted Gundam pics together and toss 'em up in the model kits thread. Thanks!
