What would you all think if Hasbro released Alt. Rumble in red and in blue at the same time?

 

Imo, all they'd have to do would be repaint the red version directly in blue, they could even call both 'Rumble' and maybe even as a fan-nod include a liscence plate sticker in both that reads 'Frenzy', that way we can choose which one we prefer to be Rumble and Frenzy, eliminating the whole RIBFIR, FIBRIR debate.

 

It'd be an easy repaint for Hasbro which would mean possibly double their sales of the one mold, if not at least 1.5 times as most of us (I would assume) would pick up both.

 

Just a thought thats been going through my head since Hasbro seems to prefer simply repainting molds and I, for one, would really like having both an Alt. Rumble and Frenzy and since this mold is made almost exclusively for these two characters.

I'm fine with both, but not in a simultaneous release where it's left open to fans to decide which is which.

 

In a line that gave us a bi-pedal Ravage and both Shockwave and Grimlock as cars, pandering to a bunch of show fans who can't move on seems a real step backwards and actually strengthens the RIRFIBR/FIRRIB debate, not reduces it.

 

They'll call it what they want when they own it anyway, but there's no real need for Hasbro to feed their delusions.

Rumble Is Red, Frenzy Is Blue or the other way around.

 

In the G1 show they gave us Rumble but coloured him Frenzy's colours to sell both toys with one character.

Some are unable to see this as a nice little anecdote and insist that, as they know Rumble as blue, it is right and should stay that way forever.

They should just release them with their respective names, one after another, and leave it at that.  This will probably be the first time that no one Protectobots about an Alternator being a straight repaint.

I don't really want to see two versions of the same mold availible at the same time.

Ah, thanks for that! I've always thought of Rumble as the red one. Although they both had pile drivers in the cartoon...

Well either way, I just hope we get both. I dont know if they have the Frenzy copyright or not, I guess it shouldnt be too hard to get that name as well. I just thought if they couldnt I wouldnt be upset if they just released both as Rumble (like red and white BT Meister)
