Masterforce dvd infomation

Recommended Posts

If you read the quote, it is a 5 disk set. The episodes on each disk will be 9,9,8,8,8.

Unlike the Headmasters boxset, the Masterforce DVD will contain all the pre-title-card bits, the next-ep previews, and the bumpers.

Sorry I must've misread it... but still that's too many eps per DVD.. 7 should be the max on any DVD-9 so that quality is not sacraficed.

I wonder if this set will include the Big Book of Masterforce?

Actually, I prefer Power Rangers over Gundam.

That show had cute girls in it.  :tftongue  I mean Emma Lahana and Sally Martin were pretty nice to look at.  :tflaugh

And do not even get me started on Robotech. Hated that show ever since I was a kid.  :tfpuke

Do you hate good writing?

At the time I was really young. All I remember (and that was just one scene) was the humans sitting inside the heads of the robots which (if I recall correctly were just glass domes). After seeing Transformers, that whole idea sucked so bad, I never gave the show a chance.

I bet a lot of kids in my position would have done the same.

Two things:

I could read all about that suprise online without having to watch the show.

Beast Machines has several surprises and was a much better show overall. No humans controlling Transformers. Heck, no humans at all!  :clap

you would be very much suprised. bear in mind that this is an old series and the headmasters dvds were excellent quality and no obvious poor quality

Sound and image quality were really good but sadly I cannot say the same about the show. But if you like the show, you cannot get any better than this.

The Point of Gundam is about Realism, Giant Robots who turn into guns with invisible trailers arn't realistic

Nope, too difficult to get hold of. Just (lol) 42 episodes.

G GUNDAM WAS REALISTIC AND NOT CAMPY IN ANY WAY WHAT SO EVER?! WHAT A SHOCK!

Gundam is realistic? Yeah right. Humans controlling giant machines is just as realistic (or fake) as Transformers. And there is plenty that is realistic about Transformers, the G1 comic was written very nicely.

And I have a different view on what is realistic. Gundam is giant robots controlled by humans. As far as I am concerned that is not realistic. Why build a huge robot when a smaller one is far more resource and energy efficient?

Same thing with Robotech. One could clearly see the humans in the robots. Might as well paint a target: "shoot here". Kill the human and the machine is useless afterall.

In short, realism is just a matter of preference. And kids do not care about realism, they want to see stuff that is cool.

And what is cooler, a sentient robot that not only think and feel but also transform or a large machine controlled by a small human? My vote goes to the first, all the way.
