Alternators - What do you think we'll see?

Recommended Posts

Okay, there's a lot of debate on what different Transformers we'll see in this line and the different vehicles they will appear as. My question is, what do you think we'll actually get...

Just so we're all on the same page, this is what we know...

1. The line so far has attempted (to everyone's individual satisfaction or not) to update the "classic" appearance of characters with modern cars.

2. So far, in general terms Takara has been doing this: Smokescreen = Rally car, Sideswipe = High end super-car, Hound = Military jeep.

3. We know that Takara/Hasbro has obtained a licence agreement with (or at least with a division of) Ford Motor Company (Mazda), General Motors (Subaru, Cheverolet) & DialmerChrysler (Jeep, Dodge).

4. Hasbro had announced, before the ALT Decepticon repaint statement, that there would at least 2 figures based off every mold, ex: Smokescreen & Silverstreak (and possibly Sideswipe & Sunstreaker).

5. The G1 line used mostly Japanese and Western European (Italian and German) cars, with mostly American utility trucks and maybe the vans.

6. I don't remember where I read this but if memory serves; Hasbro said there would be either 10 figures or 10 different licences used (I'm hoping for the later).

7. Mazda has stated that the RX-8 in use on their web page is not based on a prototype Takara figure and they currently do not know what the final product design will be.

So, based on what I've seen and what I've shared:

Tracks as a 'vette with a black repaint as a Decepticon, Sunstreaker as a Viper, Jazz as a RX-8, some BMW most likely a 7 series as an Autobot, with a repaint oversized rims and added sound system as Soundwave, Bumblebee as the rumored Dodge Neon, Trailbreaker as a H2, and I'm about dry for now.

Share what you think, and please add what you know.

I think your predictions are pretty acurate. There are alot of things we could see though. Let me pull a quote from a post on TFI

GM Owns

Buick

Cadillac

Chevrolet

GMC

Hummer

Oldsmobile

Pontiac

Saab

Saturn

they are partners with

Suzuki

Subaru

Isuzu

Fiat- which owns Ferrari, and Maserati

Toyota, which owns Lexus, Scion

Ford owns

Aston Martin

Land Rover

Lincoln

Jaguar

Mercury

Volvo

they are partners with

Mazda

Daimler Chrysler owns

Dodge

Jeep

Maybach

Mercedes- Benz

they are partners with

Hyundai, which owns Kia

Mitsubishi

Volkswagon owns (here we go)

Audi

Bentley

Lamborgini

and is partners with Porsche.

So basically I think we could see anything, except whatever companies are under the VW flag. So no porche Jazz.

Sounds like it might almost be worth it to become a cop in your neck of the woods. :thumb

To tell u the truth after hearing about the decepticon autobot repaints i almost dont feel like talking about alternators....well almost :tftounge .

I think they should make Decepticon seekers and use a next generation fighter mold. You know them new F-16 replacements with the hidden missile load and the stealth-like body lines. If they do get licensed to use that form, maybe military enrollment might go up like when Top Gun hit theaters. You never know.

gm own 20% of subaru thats not what it takes to own a company but gm can use scooby parts and tech in thier own cars and visa versa same thing gos for ford and mazda but i dont know how much but i know their not 51% owned by ford

infact if you read smoke screens bio it tells you subarus parent company that own the rest i think

mitzubishi is part of a larger group that makes pritty much any thing eg TV's but again gm or 1 big US company owns a small part not all of it

and if you dont mind showing me the proff that gm own toyota and fiat (renember they must have the majority of shares to own it right out so they can have like 5%)

also renalt have a small part of nissan but do not own them

and a bit more on topic thier are rumors that honda are up for it but thats just a rumor
