If you look at his boxart, he is purple in that pic but the is toy is blue.

Smokescreen, Tracks and Prowl are blue.  Next to them, I don't see how anyone would think Shocky is blue too.

To further the mystery... :mwahaha

I think a lot of it has to do with lighting. Under fluorescent light, which I live under, it screams purple. I do think the flake in the paint has a lot to do with the hue.

I'm going with blurple. I've once heard it was a color used in carpainting, some kind of mix of blue and purple.

 

 

Besides: put him next to smokey and Tracks and he's a completely different color. Put him next to a purple TF (like G1/E Shockwave) and it's again different.

To be completely honest....

 

I had always thought of him as "blurple"

 

 

but hey :D

Purple.....................Blurples good too.
