Great review as always. I didnt think much of the original Scattorshot, but I can't wait to find this figure. My only problem with him is that the mold looks much more suited to a Decepticon, and I'm starting to wonder if I should hold out for a 'con repaint.

Oh and Cliff Claven's figure from Empire rocks on top of the fact that its Cliff Frickin' Claven. lol

I disagree with that review. he hates the gimmics no mater how it benifits the TF. I always find that as long as it might be usefull and pratical in a combat situation, than it's fine with me. scatorshot is a ten out of ten with me.

Hell all the Cybertronian Defense Team should be Decepticons. Whatever happens to Decep being military vehicles and Autob civilian? Just my $0.02.

Well, as a simple answer?

In the 80's, it was us (normal) versus the Soviets (militarized), so military vehicles were seen as being the bad guys... Nevermind that our army (our strongest warriors) used them.

Today, we live in a world of terrorists, guerilla fighters, insurgencies, and such. These types of people do not use big military vehicles cuz they can't afford them -- they use mundane, normal trucks and cars as weapons of destruction. Thus, the role has shifted... and the good guys are the heavily armed ones.

Plus, there's the whole defending cybertron aspect. ;)
