i like the toys but they really shouldn't be labled as anniversary toys if they don't look anything like the originals. i bet most people wouldn't have a problem with them if they were released in Cybertron as homages rather than anniversary toys. i'm still buying them anyway.

why does everything have to be based on homages. i think after getting some more pics from tfw that optimus, megatron and unicron are all alot better than thought

I wont say anything about this 2 figures; I will just get Takara's and thats it.

the thing is primal and megs come with a collector comic so it will all be explained in them hopefullywhy the look like a combo of their beast and transmetal forms

Yeah! No one mention how drastically different they looked. They just said, "They have big arms like Battle for the Spark Primal and they feature Planet Key slots" No one mentioned they look like TM2s. I was thinking I wouldn't want the RM versions once I see these.

yes thats why hes like his transmetal version and also the dino head on megs like the transmetal i am getting more excited every time i loo at the pics

I think the robot Primal on display is broken. If you look closely, the one in munkey mode has thumbs on his feet [robot hands] but the robot Primal is thumbless...but I think I can see the spot where the ball jointed thumb should pop in.

 

Anyone else see what I mean?

 

Also, based on the robot legs positioning, I think the gorila arms are mistransformed. They should be able to bend into a more realistic Gorilla elbow mode.

 

Not the "God-like" I mold I was expecting, but I'll reserve final opinion until he starts hitting the shelves.
