I voted yes. I've been wanting this for some time cause they're more likely to make an Alt Megatron than an MP Megatron, and the realistic alt mode goes better with the others. Also from the pics I've seen he doesn't look bad to me.

i think that Alt-Prime was designed entirely by Hasbro since Takara was extremely reluctant to sell a truck alt/bt in Japan where trucks aren't very popular. that would certainly explain why he's not as good as the other alts(but he's by no means the worst).

Erm, he was engineered by Takara just like every other Alt.  The issue is that a pickup is a very open sort of vehicle, so there's not much place to stash parts, period.  Even moreso that they tried to use a different style of transformation with the hood.

 

The fact that he's Prime, rather than Ironhide or Trailbreaker or Motormaster or Gears or whatever, is due to Takara's reluctance to release a BT of a vehicle type that doesn't exist in any capacity in Japan.

I don't see that as a very valid excuse as to why the legs look the way they do. Extending the legs would if done properly would take absolutely no room at all. All that would have to be done is pull them out the same as either Alt Skids or MP Prime. In one word this is just lazy on whoever enginered it's behalf. Anyways I voted Not worth it. More time, and development could have easily been used to make this an awsome Alt. As cool as Mirage is now I hope he doesn't suffer from similar issues.

 

As for Prowl, I really like him, and think if posed right with the legs facing the other way around looks as cool if not cooler than any Alt thus far. As for you naysayers.  :tftongue

So is that the only reason the Yes poll is winning? People are actually afraid the results of this poll will determin the future of Alts as we know it. :wtf I personally don't think Hasbro could care less what the fandom thinks reguading this release. The fact they're releasing this at all is proof of that.

 

Hasbro has done a fairly admirable job with all of the alts despite some of the various issues/short comings related to each mold. Positively  thumbs up to them in aspect but a huge thumbs down in reguards to repaints like Swerve, Decepticharge, Rollbar, and Rico. If there wasn't either diehard competists or exceptionally talanted kitbashers nobody I think would have a use for any of these.

 

Alt Prime is a definite let down but with Mirage looking fairly spetacular and rumoured others it's a sure sign this line is far from medirocity in terms of creativity. At least I hope it isn't.

Still think that he is a POS. They could have done much better w/ the figure, regardless of whether it is Prime or not, that just makes it that much worse.

I will support Hasbro by buying the Prime alt (I was going to buy it anyway). :tflaugh

 

I wasn't too impressed with Prowl when I saw the internet pics, but that all changed as soon as I got my hands on him, he's cool too.

 

I would have gotten the Ram alt regardless.  IMO, I would rather have liked it if it was Trailbreaker but oh well....

 

I will be buying him....You can tell HASBRO I'll be supporting the alt line and their check is in the mail. :clap

So we get a crappy transforming Prime, although it's kinda cool to see the concept, and then Megatron will ultimately come along and it will suck too.  People will go, why is Megs an H3 Hummer?  Although it won't be that bad either.
