Rollbar issues- two birds with one stone?

Recommended Posts

Okay, two of the main complaints I hear about him are:

1) Looks too much like Swindle, even with color differences

2) Paint is incomplete- doro handles and trim paint missing

How's about this? Someone posted a long way back how to remove the jeep doors on this mold. Why not just make this the norm for Rollbar? Remove the doors and you get a distinction in the mold, albeit a small one... and you don't have to worry about the missing paint ap.

Awwwwww!  And he looked so cool from the photos too.  I was really thinking about getting this guy.  Even IF he looked like Swindle he actually took on his own personality by the repaint.  Hope that the paint work isn't all that bad.

It's not that it's BAD. It's that a few key elements seem to be missing.

Specifically some black paint apps where the grille, the door trim and door handles are concerned. OTHER than that I've not seen a problem with the paint.

Being as two of the three pain absences are associated with the doors, this seemed a keen solution.

technically Rollbar doesn't look like Swindle, since Swindle is a bug-eyed peghead, not a Trailbreaker repaint...... ;)

Does any one have pics of this color issue?

Considering Hasbro have already used the mold twice, and that this one doesen't even ANY retooling or even a recolored head (should match the color of the arms - closer to the original Rollbar)...

it's being especially cheap.

All easily fixed tho.

yea, i'ld like pics of the ill color issue

Look at the posted images of Rollbar. It's been commented on before.

The front grille- where Hound and Swindle have black paint in the holes in the front, there is no paint app there.

On the doors, the handles and trim on the top and upper-rear portion of the doors is black on Hound and Swindle. It's all one colour on Rollbar.

Look at his listing on Hasbro and see what I mean.

the only color issue I have with him is that orange.....

I have to see it in person. It looks kinda red in the pics. But I do want a bright orange bot. Just to be different.
