Alt Prowl's New Guns

Recommended Posts

I finally got tired of staring at Alt Prowl with his hideous unpainted iVTEC gun and marital-aid police baton, so I gave him these:

Prowl with dual beam pistols

Prowl with chain gun

Prowl with long-range beam cannon

Prowl- fully loaded.

Those of you who follow the Japanese hobby scene might recognize the guns from Studio Reckless' ORE-GUN line.  These were intended to be used with 1/144 to 1/100 scale Gundam figures, but they fit nicely into Alt hands as well.

Studio Reckless ORE-GUN series 2

(Sorry if the lighting's a little bad- the sun wasn't out today.  :tfmad )

the question is what about storige? prown cant possibly fit all that into his alt mode

Ever heard of a weapon armory? Not every weapons needs to be intergrated into the alt mode.

That's nice and all, but I can just as easily kill you with a .38 as I can with a shotgun, if you get my meaning.

Anyway, are you going to be painting those weapons?

I think I get your meaning, but I really just swapped the weapons for the aesthetic value of this set.  Yeah they don't fit in his alt mode, but the recent 'engine guns' have just started looking too much like 'engines with handles' for my taste.

The guns actually are painted and panel-lined- it's not obvious from the side shots, but the 'eye' of the scope is painted green.

If anyone's interested, Hobbylink Japan sells them here, but it's only by the box.

Aint that the truth, Prowl and Skids's guns are pretty lacking. Prime's gun looks like an improvement.

:clap The only question is: where can I get these things?!  :thumb

Thanks for the link  :thumb It's always good to have spare accessories and weapons to make some of your weaker guys look more menancing.  Speaking of which has anybody gotten ahold of some Patlabor weapons and tried to give them to their Alt./BT Prowls?  I'm not sure what scale the Patlabor models/figures are in comparsion to the 1/24 Alts, but it might be worth a shot.  That Revolver they carry would complement Prowl perfectly.

Nice, how do you do Prowl's legs in that way?  I've not received my BT Prowl yet, I should do some time after the 14th once I've paid for him, so I don't know much about him.
