Beast Wars II and Neo fansubs

Recommended Posts

Since... even though they were provided with excellent, high-quality raws of these series... TV-Nihon doesn't seem interested in fansubbing them...

Do any of you know any other fansubbing groups that may be interested in fansubbing Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo?  Anyone who would be interested in beginning the subbing as soon as they receive the raws?

That's not true, Space Cowboy. TV-Nihon has said they intended on fansubbing all the Original Japanese Language series...they still have Headmasters and Victory to finish for Transformers, among other series.

So we can get the best translation, let's not rush 'im. ^_^

I'm just going to say no for now, since there are no dvd sources for them. We have some really nice tape encodes, but anything we have a dvd source for should take priority.

So, considering everything not yet fansubbed that is available on DVD... this tells me it could be years before they get to these series. :redface

I supplied encoded DVD raws (made from the original Pioneer videotapes) to them back in October with the understanding they would start on it relatively soon, so my fellow fans could have them for the 10th Anniversary (call it my anniversary gift to you guys).  That doesn't appear to be the case, so now I'm asking if anyone else would like the opportunity to do the job.

Well, I'm not really interested in investing the time it would take to clone these discs for everyone who would like them...

... but if the fansub thing falls through, I wouldn't be opposed to making disc-image files into torrents if someone would be willing to host them.  All you'd have to do is download them and burn the disc-images onto your DVD+Rs.

But, to answer your question...

8 discs for BWII (including the movie)

6 discs for BW Neo

Being a fansubbed myself... I know it takes a lot of time to do the translations. Especially when it comes to transformers... some of the dialogue is just strange. It's not like everyday conversation either.

I didn't think that Beast Wars2 and Neo were available on DVD as of yet. Here's my collection of TF DVD's from Japan.

G1 box set

2010 box set (riipped from LD to DVD)

Headmasters (UK version -getting the Japan r2 ones soon)

Masterforce

Victory

Zone

Beast Wars

Beast Wars Metals

BW 2 movie

Car robots

Micron Densetsu

Superlink (missing disc 12)

Still gotta hook myself up with Galaxy Force and Beast Wars Returns (although Beast  Machines will probably have a better version from Rhino)

They're not.  What I have are raws on DVDs encoded from from the original Pioneer videotapes.

Who knows, though?  Maybe if Takara really embraces this whole 10th Anniversary thing (as they seem to be), maybe we'll see them after all?

:clap

Wouldn't mind checking out the quality of these. How many eps did you fit per disc?
