Masterpiece Skyfire

Post it at Transtopia and shame those talentless folks!!

:redface

F**k you.

I'm not talking about myself here when I say this but those guys over there that post their work put not only their heart into their projects but alot of blood and sweat as well as alot of effort into whatever creation they come up with.

Alot of those people also don't hail from Transtopia but post there and outside of that have no real affiliation. They are artisits from around the world and deserve their credit when it comes to some of the great work they come up with.

You want to bash me in particular then I'm cool with that but discredit the entire TF Kitbasher population for what they do or have done just because of association is just wrong.

Again. F**k you.

For goodness sake, you sensitive b*tch- it was a joke. :roll Don't really see how/why you'd take it personally.

*Heaps more love on MP Skyfire*

Well if it was a joke then I opologize.

Yes I can be a bit sensitive but I also have been trampled as well as the other artists with comments like that and half the time it's by someone that has NO IDEA what is involved with making them.

Sorry if it was a joke and I took it out of hand but then again I really didn't see any sign of it just being a joke and it did hit a personal note with me.

Ingenous transformation!

The thing I really like about this, besides the fact that both modes are perfectly show acurate  :thumb , is the fact that it's scratch built out of METAL!  You definately have a talent for it Wikkid!  Again, Excellent work!

You know, that blew me away as well as being the reson why I didn't think it would work out for him.

Metal is in NO WAY easy to work with and to think he made it work just astounds me.

Again man, it's a great peice. You really should be proud.

Superb job, Wikkid!  Any chance of doing a comission?  I am a good buyer, just ask Anemis!  =)  I have bought both of his MP-1 and MP-2 trailers from him.

IM me and let me know.  I'd definitely be interested.  If not interested, I would understand.

Take care,

Its okay. My basic meaning was that some humble guy who mainly only posts in the funn13 sections around this board whoops up and puts together an excellent metal masterpiece that shames many other kitbashes from some people who gloat about what little effort they use and only hang out in the KB forum. This is not refering to some of the amazing guys at Transtopia that also post here, like the reshelling whiz Lobo and the scratch-build master Viagra Prime.

And when I meant "those guys at Transtopia" I was refering to "anyone who submitted a kitbash". I kind of forgot it's a forum too. I've got a few projects I'm working on, and I completely understand the often frustrating work involved. But I don't think anyone has done quite as much as Wikkid in some while, making parts from metal and turning a truck into a jet, and making a completely transformable show-accurate Skyfire- and that was my point. Heck, you weren't even sure he could do it! :P

But mainly.....it was just a joke. Come to INH sometime and learn the ways. :thumb

That is simply incredible.  Definately the best Skyfire custom I've ever seen.  And can't believe you scratch built it from metal.

...

I can only echo the sentiments spoken thus far as I've spent the last day's worth of posts just sitting in moments of silence everytime I look at those pics.

I'm wondering if you might whet our appetites as to what you're setting your sights on next.

*For Rawhide*

You can kinda see the wings overlap through the bolt hole thingy shown here. Joo can also see the harness that bolts to the figures back. I had to make it stiff as hell cause it weighs a ton.

The backpack needed a low area to pin the wings to so I built it as shown. The boosters cover the bolts.

Thanks :thumb

Made it very clear how you've done this 'cos I couldn't quite figure out how it worked. Was thinking way too complex. This is a very nice, "simple" but highly effective solution :thumb

Again: a truly amazing job.

Any future kitbashing plans?

VERY COOL!!!!!!!

SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS! :eek

I have no future builds planned. I do plan to redo the arms as joo can see the red bled through. This is another gripe I have with Sikkens basecoat, PPG never had this problem.

I have considered a Galvatron but I'm actually kinda wanting to get back into the bodyshop and build my hot rod (Car, not character). I'm not really a kitbashing kinda dood.

But I am respraying a few alternators for an INH buddy but that's it.
