just a quick one really, in several pics of peoples own collections ive seen alternators/binaltech sideswipe with the rear of the car used as his chest, is this me just getting it wrong ? and if not how is this done ?

It's a mod that's apparently easy to do; you just need to cut like 1 piece or something, and do a bit of reassembling.  I'm not sure how it's done; I like to keep him as he is...  :)

You need to cut some plastic out of the trunk area, where the hinge stops it from moving in any further than a 90 degree angle. Just enough so that there's clearance for it to be positioned at an angle. Then, just turn his head and waist around and swap the hands.

You could swap the whole arms so that the screws are still towards the inside too.

Those cuts look so clean.  Is there a particular kind of knife you used or is an Exacto just good enough for the job?

i am getting a sideswipe in the mail shortly, and plan to do this with a dremel.
