Galaxy Force C-00 Primus

I'm waiting, seeing as I'm too poor right now to get the Takara version.

I preordered Primus as well. I didn't feel like going through the rat race for what will most likely be the most difficult to find figure due to it being the final figure of the line.

If I happen to see the American version and the added feature is cool enough, I might splurge and buy him. Otherwise...I'll be damn fine with what I'll have in February.

I had pre-ordered it but cancelled, I can wait for the Hasbro release.

I'm guessing the something extra will be "Noah" as a handheld weapon for Primus. Seems like a lot of detail was put into the animation of that thing.

At Botcon, Aaron Archer said the "something extra" would make us consider buying two Cybertron Primus toys - I can't see the Noah weapon doing that.  The current theory, because of the "two" idea, is that he'll come with a moon accessory to whack Starscream around with.

That's 1 interpretation... but I don't recall him specifically saying 2 CYBERTRON Primuses... it sounded to me like he meant even if you bought the Takara version version first, that the "something extra" would make you want to buy the Hasbro version as well.

I've heard the moon theory, and it was my best guess for awhile, but the detail and investment in the animation of Noah make me think that's much more important. Plus it'd be more of an action feature, probably a big launching cannon.

But it's all unclear words and speculation, hopefully Toyfair in a couple weeks will clear it up.

It's a supreme, it won't be hard to find, he'll be released in summer (late July/early August) and be on shelves through the Christmas shopping season.

Thanks for the clarification on "Noah" - I haven't seen the GF episodes yet including Primus in them.

And usually, I try not to import GF figures unless they are a MUST HAVE for me, and I just can't wait - for example:

1) Optimus Prime

2) Soundwave

3) Megalo Convoy

4) normal sized Starscream

5) Noize Maze

....and now Primus. In every case, I am glad that I did pre order them. It seems as though Hasbro usually takes the cheap way out by using crappier plastic and changing or deleting paint apps. Vector Prime and Sideways are prime examples of this.

Anyways - I pre-ordered Primus from bbts.com too. Does anyone know how Joel handles his pre-orders? Most places pre-order their allocated amount of their shipments first, then re-open the listing after they get more in stock. However, I have had pre-orders with bbts.com before that I have waited for and had to cancel after seeing the figures in the store.  :tdown

Kinda sad to see Alt. Skids and Alt. Sunstreaker in Wal Mart when I had them on pre-order for 6 months with an online retailer.....  :tftongue

I was just wondering, because I didn't want to expect to wait until Cybertron Primus is sitting on shelves before I see my GF one.

right now shipping costs are killer so no importing for me, might wait to see what they go for once they start showing up on ebay. I know I'll end up with 2-3 of the Cybertron version.

I thought the C-00 was just a USA toy, kind of like how some US exclusive toys are sold in Japan with a sticker on the packaging?

Guess not...

I use BBTS to get all of my import stuff (primarily BTs and BTAs), and I never had to wait long for them to arrive.

You have to bear in mind that Takara and Hasbro are two different companies and that they deal w/ releasing items in very different ways. Takara will release Primus on Feb 28th (I think) and will immediately ship the BBTS order to them. It usually takes a couple of weeks for the shipment to arrive in Wisconsin and once it arrives, Joel will email you to tell they are in. Then, he will email you again when your specific order ships, usually a day or two later. You can usually expect to get your package w/in about 3 wks from the Japanese release date.

Hasbro, like I said, does things a little differently and may or may not ship their items until after the figures are in the stores. I know that BBTS does get their shipments before the stores usually, but not always. Plus, in this case, GF Primus is going to be released months before the Cybertron version, so I would say it is fairly safe to say that GF Primus will arrive way before you ever see Cybertron Primus in the stores.

Thanks for the clarification on that - I had always wondered how that worked.  :thumb

Actually, Primus is being released February 23rd. He will arrive stateside by the 28th or sooner. It's then that our's will be shipped.

I also want this version because of the G1 packaging he'll have.
