Alternator Prowl (red box version)

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what your experience has been.

I've seen exactly one of him and two of his case-mate Swerve.  Tracks, oddly enough, seems to be the leftover from Bubble Wave 1 here despite being so sought after previously.  And Bubble Wave 2 is supposed to be Prime-Skids-Rollbar-Ricochet?  Only 5 figures in the entire line can possibly have less availability at this point!

So, is the red box version of Prowl going to be more like Tracks (more or less ignored) or Swerve (still fetching a high price)?

Well eventually, it will dry up. The red box version seems to be much scarcer than the bubble version.........

However the bubble version has been reported to have some extra detail around the grill that the earlier one doesen't.

It may become scarce, but demand for the earlier version is unlikely to ever really be high i'd guess........

Swerve is fetching high prices? He's still around in some stores here.

I also don't think RB that Alt Prowl will go to much higher, but then again I had passed on Alt Tracks at a comic book store for $30 saying I could find it cheaper at Target... Shows how much I know.

I had just traded my last RB A.Prowl towards a complete G1 Computron...

the bubble atl prowl also has more detail on the rear end of the car with the acura and RSX logos on the back...along with the acura symbol and the 3rd brake light where the RB one, at least the one I have...does not have any of that detail.

red boxed versions police lights have 2 screws and the bubble version has 3.

I got the red box Prowl and wondered if he'd become rare, then I thought "sod-it" and opened it up anyway!

i still have one of those sealed.

I had an extra RB Prowl in my car when I found Sunstreaker and Skids. I only had 30 bucks on hand so I went out to my car, brought him in and returned him so I could get both. Oh, well.

Who cares how rare and valuable it's going to be?  If you're buying for value you're missing out on the point of the toy.  You want value, buy stock.

I agree, unlike other collectible toy lines, TF box and package variants never seem to be worth very much on the secondary market - probably because to fully enjoy a TF you acually have to open it.

Plus, the most RB Tracks was ever really worth was ~$40, and I doubt if anyone wants RB Prowl badly enough to even push his price up that high.
