I've just receved it!

Concidering it came only 5 days after It was ordered it was a welcome suprize,

the first thing of note is the size of the dvd box; 23cm x 30.5cm x 5cm Thats a BIG box!

The discs are well printed but all 13 were in a small sleve book but the reverse sides of the discs are clean and unscratched.

the episodes played perfectly on my player and the quality in my opinion is close to the rhino release although it is in PAL format!

 

I have only found 2 minor faults worth mentioning;

 

1, the company logo appears 3 times an episode but disapears after about 10 seconds and that at least beats the DREADED CARTOON NETWORK logo :tflaugh

 

2, the box, as I mentioned erlier is FRIGGIN HUGE!  :redface

theres a silver box version from the same company that  looks more shelf frendly and a little cheaper although the black box version looks fantastic, ( and uses a magnet to keep the flap closed!) it's big enugh to BE the shelf :tflaugh

 

I personally recomend this set,ESPESHALLY to anyone who feels disd by Rhino :wave

arg. im quite torn. i like big'n'flashy. but i dont have alotta room. so are they region free? even if not i can play them on my lappy. but... its just after seeing the g1 sets (wooden box w/ rm fig, metal case w/ extras) it just doesnt seem "worthy" of my shelf. ill prolly get the white box. thanks for the review. i was wondering if they were legit/decent.

Cool.  I'm waiting on my set, the smaller one.  As far as the company logo

appearing, my Chinese release Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory sets do the same

thing.  With that big box I would think it would come with a toy.

This set is region 0 (or regoin free) Pal.  There are alot of cheap dvd players

available which are a combination PAL/NTSC  region 1 format, just look on the box. I have seen several in the $30-$40 range.  Mine was around $33 and plays my Headmasters region 0 PAL discs just fine.

Cool.  I'm waiting on my set, the smaller one.

1, pal

2,english/chinese audio and subtitles :thumb

3, menu in english and chinese

4, region free !

5, the black box may be HUGE but loocks fantastic(shelf worthy)

6, the silver box will most likely be around the size of the Headmasters/masterforce/victory box sets and complements the Rhino G1 box sets well :clap

7, no extras(like toys) after all for around $40.00 (the same price as the Rhino half season box set) you can't expect bells and whisles :tflaugh
