G1 Ravage

Recommended Posts

I call again on the assistance of the kit bashers...

Does anyone know how to tighten the joints on a g1 ravage tape?

Also the metal is kind of "rusted" or actually has been oxidized on his legs, anyone know any fixes for that?

Thanks in advance.

anyone?

Timmy, there comes a time in every pet's life when, it just gets sick.  Tape spools don't spin like they used to.  Transform Cog grinds and slips.  The head falls off or just flops around.

Son, there comes a time when you just have to let an old cat cassette go.  We're putting him to sleep.  I'm sorry.

And we voted for you to be the one who breaks the news to Soundwave...

Serious now.  They say use elmers glue to get into the joints and that will tighten things up.  The knockoff old Ravages I think are a bit easier to take apart, and once in side the neck, legs and tail joints can be tightened all sorts of ways.  Tape, glue, rubber cement, possibly even spray glue.

I did something like this a long time ago.  Took the tail and head off, wrapped the hinge pin in a strip of tape and put the pieces back on.  That worked ok and was well hidden once the cover was put back on his side.

Legs with the pins probably need some glue worked in there.  Elmers is really good because if you mess up, it can disolve in water.  I'd drop some on the joints, work it in, and rub away the excess.  Once dry try moving it.

Rust?  Sand paper and silver paint maybe.
