I like the way they printed the name scavenger on him as if to say "No, this isn't Inferno, its someone totally diferant".

Scavenger's one of my favorite Predacons, hands down.  He takes Inferno's insanity to the next level, and I can see him using his beastlegs as large fingers for manipulating things in robot mode.  I have him holding C-Overhaul and C-Brushguard in that position right now.

speaking of stasis pods didnt they all drop to earth at the end? i wonder what happened to them...maybe became autobots and decepticons in a few millenia

The new BW comic from IDW is going to address them.

I thought the ones who weren't transmetalized were n't because they were in CR chambers

2 stasis pod transformers were TM although not entirely. Silverbolt and Quickstrike were in some way connected to the transmetals. In the episode where everyone but the TMs were incapacitated, those two weren't

Maybe th pods broke up or decayed or rusted or whatever. Remember, its fairly pointless to point stuff like that since the real explanation is that G1 was done and dusted before BW was even an idea

The problem with this is partly answered above. The toy was designed to be Inferno's Transmetals mode. But a problem happened in communication, I think the original story was that Inferno was going to get upgraded, so they made the toy. Then they changed the script. Why they changed the name to Scavenger is beyond me.

To me it seems like they upgraded all the current show bots and Mainframe decided who they wanted to upgrade in the story. Every single bot that was alive at the end of season one was upgraded in toy form except Scorponok. Dinobot,

Blackarachnia and Tigatron became TM2s instead on TMs.

Let us not forget poor Terrorsaur. He was glowing while he fell into the lava so he was going to be transmetilized as well.

And Waspinator was in the CR tank so that protected him while Rhinox and Dinobot were in the CR chamber. So all of the original characters either got a new body or were shielded.

Why the "new ones" such as Inferno or Tigatron were not affected I do not know? Nor do I know what happened to Scorponok. To my recollection, he dissapeared.

Scorponok and Terrorsaur crashed while together while on those flying platforms the Preds had. They both fell into the lava. It was never explained why bots that awoke on earth were not reformatted though. I had been hoping for a transmetal Rhinox, Waspinator, Terrorsaur, and Airrazor, but it was not to be.

the stasis pods probably shielded them. silverbolt and quickstrike awoke after the surge. tigatron and airrazor were zapped by that plant before that werent they?

why rampage came out as a TM is confusing. i think he should of just been a normal crab like razorclaw. well im glad they didnt because i like rampages tank mode though that stupid large gun should of been made better. maybe after the surge there was quantum energy polluting the atmosphere.

and this is off topic but where was bumblebee in the movie?
