I've seen worse than Sideswipe (some of those Beast Machine figures come to mind), and while his bot mode is rather ho hum, his alt mode kicks ass.

Compared to Armada Hotshot, any figure would be better.

You've all gone bonkers!! No complimenting Armada Swipe allowed!! It's bad enough we get TWO repaints with the battle in the box series. Do you want more? Do Ya? Well keep this up and hasbro will release an Armada Smokescreen army! They'll be the next Omnicons for Energon and are given away with every transformer that you buy at everystore and if you refuse them a dumptruck filled with MISB Armada Sideswipes will be dropped on your lawn.

His alt mode is great, but he is an absolutely hideous bot.

 

 

yep, and that's a shame. Normally I would never have bought him, but unfortunately Hasbro has become a little smarter: they're going to release him alongside universe Ultra Magnus (bendy Prime). Since I want the latter, I'm going to be stuck with that hidious Sideswipe repaint.

 

I'm probably going to work him over as well. There's got to be some way to make him less hidious? Maybe add some decent lower arms and hands?

I liked him too. And nightbeat, for that matter. I just thought they were a neat little team.
