he pretty much strikes me as being the overly strong and somewhat smart though deceptivly lacking in brains type of person with a short temper and even shorter fuse at best

 

now iv never had all that much experience with individuals born of other nationalities  outside the U.S but to me it seems he fits the russian stereotype as it were

 

no offense intended there or anything like that but thats how he comes accross to me character wise.

But Grimlock was a Japanese character and not really an American character per se. It could be directed that Americans are the "fat, lazy, stupid idiots."

Its an interesting idea especialy when you consider the number of poltical conflicts i the eries

Well with the 'reinvention' of the character over the years. Grimlock is the Transformers equivilent of CONAN.

 

In the old episode "Grimlock's New Brain" he only became more elequant and 'educated' and in the new stories by Furman, he was always smart. he just lacked the verbal skills. He hints in "Dark Ages" that there was an incident with Jetfire that caused Grimlock's so called Condition too.

the reason i posted this as a topic is because my friend skip on 3rd shift has a good bit of russian  ancestry in him and you can see it real clearly through the face because of that. he just fits that national stereotype though thats what got me thinking on grimlock here

a Russian named 'skip'?  Is that short for something more russian?

Grimlock in my opinion should have been protrade(spelling) as a early version of Dinobot... not some pea brained barbarian like the show made him out to be.. that was Sludge!
