the closest thing ive done to hiding a toy was moving it to the back of the peg or putting a basic under the box of an ultra or behind all the leader toys

Don't you people have credit cards?  So you can see something you want, get it and worry about paying for it next month?

Personally I think that hiding things is pretty pathetic.

i dont have a credit card and i have no intention of getting one right now. nor do any stores in the UK do a law away thing so if i dont hide the rarer items then 99% im never going to see them again

sure you say that when youve got a credit card. id like one. but im just lazy. and im a lil afraid of how much id run up on it. kinda the other reason i dont have a credit card. as far as the hiding goes, if i dont have the money, but i will within a day or so, ill hide something. otherwise i let it go. but my stores suck sometimes. im not sire if ill see certain figures again(and dont actually about half the time), so thats another factor.

And so, to my everlasting shame, I hid the child's playthings from the children. They await me tomorrow, when I shall purchase them with someone else's money.

Am I proud of what I did? No. But I get them and you don't, Na Na Na Na NA!!  :tftongue

I don't really think you hid a child's plaything.

There are toys out there clearly aimed at older children and adult collectors.

Alts are one such thing.

It's not like you robbed a kid of the chance to buy the hero he see's on TV every Saturday morning.

I hide things for other fas in the area, especially if they've expressed the desire to get their hands on them (talkin' to YOU, Heat Guy)  ;)

Never hid anything for myself later on, but I don't see any moral dilemma to it.  In your situation I probably would have only hid 2 of the 4 Alts, just in the spirit of fairness to other collectors, but if I had really been hunting for all 4 of them I might behave differently.

Guess I'm just a casual collector... all the more so since BotCon.

I just put them on layby (layaway :redface), then forget about them for two months and start crapping myself when I get the reminder letter......

If they're female, marry?

Do you really want your children to turn out like a member of the evil horde?

You need something to offset the masculine traits, and that's not going to do it.

:tflaugh

target doesn't have layaway. :tdown

Hiding spots have never worked for me.  I had one when I was about 6, but I got caught putting stuff there before I could buy any of it. :redface

I tried hiding RiD Galvatron behind some hunting/camping gear (my old gf's idea), but he was gone the next day.

No lay away?  That's painful...
