How would you feel about asymetric alts?

Recommended Posts

ps. whats with the h8 for X-Brawn Uber fists rule

Uber fists are cool, but not when it's THE ENTIRE FRONT END OF YOUR ALT MODE.  :roll

People are complaining about Xbrawn but I bet any amount of money that if an Alternators X-Brawn were to show up next week and it was a extreme Direct homage of the original(Hood arm and all), everyone would Blot their pants in excitement.

Nope.  Not me at least, so there goes your "everyone" prediction.   :thumb

Two :pfx 's for me, one for each of GZ's statements.

Stop stealing my lines, you bastard! :lol

If done right, and it's done as something in line with the character, and not just because the designer tried something new but got lazy halfway through, then I'd be all for it.

Armada Hoist ( http://tfu.info/2003/Autobot/Hoist/hoist.htm ) was one of my fave Armada molds, so I think it can work if done right. Maybe if we got Alt-Constructicons?  :schin

I like balance with my transformers not mega arms and such. Fans who like Asymmetry gemerally like the Cybertron, Energon, and Armada figures. That was prob. why i stayed away from them. The Alts. Have a realistic feel to them and they dont look rediculous when u transform them. Plus, I try to think that the designers wanted a transformation similar their g1 counterparts early on in the run with Bluestreak and Sideswipe but got carried away later on by using shockwave as a totally different alt mode than his original. And dont forget ravage.

Would be excellent to see.  Even an UBER arm would be cool.

Same way I feel about asymmetric people.

Actually, humans are asymmetric.  If you were to cut a person in half, and mirror the two halfs, you'd end up with two different-looking people.

Perhaps instead of the standard transformation where the legs are in the back of the car, head in front (or reversed) it could be changed so that they transform "perpendicular" to their transforming scheme now.

That's how I was thinking too.  That might require sacrificing some of the interior detail though, and they seem to be putting more and more of that in, like skid's back seat.  Or the RX-8s.

vehicle TF's don't need to be asymetrical since it's easy to give them a complex transformation. the only tf's that need to be asymetrical are the beast-formers in order to keep from using the "stand tf on rear legs, swap heads" transformation.

I prefer the term "Stand Up The Cat" for that description concerning BM Cheetor. Another guy came up with that one, not me, but I don't recall his name.

And before you start, yes, I know there's more to transforming BM Cheetor than standing him up.
