Not really up to snuff compared to the stuff i see here a lot, but like i said, i'm just getting back into art.  Hope you like!  Had a friend pose for the facial expression, then drew me some Energon Hot Shot action!  Well, just the face.  Picture taken with my nifty cell phone. Enjoy.

 

Edit - also realized, didn't take much pic of the helmet.  so basically, he really could be anybody.  but it is hot shot. 

 

i like the contrast between light and dark and its all im proportion

the upper lip looks like moustache- you could differ the upper teeth more :P

Blitz - thanks I like your work quite a bit, i actually saved a couple of your pieces for reference.

 

Wallas - i checked the original, it's a little more differentiated, the cell phone pic blurred that a bit, but you're right, if it were more distinct the phone wouldn't have done that.  Thanks for the tip.

i find faces to be most difficult to draw. they look great!

Thanks, guys!! Actually, faces are my favorite part to draw, and usually the first part i detail.  My next pic will be up soon, a picture of Brushguard looking for a lost piece of himself (a joke I'll explain later).

 

BTW, both faces were done by basing them off of real faces.  Hot Shot was based off my brother-in-law, and I provided the model for Megatron.  I find doing that makes the faces appear more real.
