The Hood is lighter than every thing else.

and under the bright all revealing Fluorescent light, the yellow plastic on his shoulders assembly and that flat panel that holds his head, Is a completely, completely different color than the rest of the yellow plastic. It's almost orange.

I brought mine to work today, too.

 

I also noticed these variations in the yellow plastic.  Additionally, I find that the nose and lower panels behind the front wheel  (not talking about the painted vent portion, but the panels with "Viper SRT-10" written on them) look a bit different from the rest as well.

 

:tflaugh  Maybe there was some truth behind Hasbro's "Tracks - yellow plastic problem" after all.

My BTA Streaker has red biceps.  But I swapped his out for Alt Dead End's when I got the BT version of DE.  My big question is, how do the doors match up on the Alt version in car mode?  Because my BTA's doors have this ugly 1/5-inch gap between the rear of the door and the back body panels, and I'm trying to figure out a swap of some kind.  Also, for those who have both versions, which is worse when it comes to mis-matched colors?  Cuz BTA Streaker looks like a Crazy Quilt in car mode.

I've noticed the same problems with my BTA Streaker.  The panels on the Alt version (mine at least) suffer almost the exact opposite problem - they fit together a little too tightly, I'm hoping after a couple dozen TFings he'll loosen up a bit.  The panel colors also match much better than the BTA - I didn't even notice the color differences on the Alt until tman pointed them out; I'd say the difference is pretty subtle unless they're under bright fluorescent light (unlike the BTA).

I've had the door issue with Alt DeadEnd and now with Alt Streaker. The hood stays shut tighter than DE though.

I noticed it at home too, Just at work it's uber noticable.

And I can just see the bros getting up to that wort of hijinx too....

Just like most, I went to Walmart to find the whole set. So I got Prowl, Skids, and Sunstreaker (I left Tracks since I got him first round).  I like Alt Skids better than the BT version.  The flame adds something to it. Prowl is perfect. Sunstreaker is tight as in joints.  It took me forever to close the hood properly and line up the doors.
