It's not Hasbro's fault that Mainframe decided to do that backpack swivel thingy with TM Rattrap in the show. They always took a few liberties with the toys when they saw fit to do so.

Anyway, I'd much rather see a TM Rattrap reissue. Especially if they finally fixed his chrome flaking issue.

After standing on my shelf for about a week (in robot mode, not handled) the chrome bubbled on Rattrap and came off in huge chunks on it's own.  Consequently, I had an Iron Man figure that the same thing happened to.

Darn, that is what makes all the Transmetals so cool.

I think they are a bit pricey but I will probably get them. Provided I can find them at a fair price. Beast Was the best Transformers series ever.

Totally. He and TM Rhinox were notorious for it. And then you had guys like TM Primal and TM Megs who you could bash on a table and the chrome wouldn't come off. Go figure.

I went to the box that has TM RT in it, picked him up and all the TM fell off like glitter

same thing happened with my first BM Blastcharge. And the one I have now already has hairline fractures on the chrome. :grr

You know, even if his backpack was flipped, he wouldn't be totally show accurate. His beast mode head halves are secured to his robot mode shoulders by screws in robot mode.

Yeah, but if you are gonna have a figure that does w/stand the test of time, wouldn't you rather it be the 2 leaders than some smaller cheaper toy?

I just put 1/2 of my BW figure into my new display cabinet last night (the other 1/2 goes in just as soon as I get home tonight) and the only one I saw any chipping on was a TM Rattrap that I got from someone else, and that was only in two small places on his tail (most of the others I had bought myself during the Beast Era, so they are perfect).

I am generally very happy w/ the way the TMs have stood up over the years. All of mine look great. You just have to take care of them and not "bash them on a table" hehe (although that is fun to do too).

I just want series 2 to come out already so I can complete my "Transmutate" Figure :wave
