I think there is a yellow version coming out soon.

already came out as a Sam's Club exclusive, as well as an RID Ultra Magnus. Don't know what Hasbro was thinking with the color scheme though.

They aren't thinking. They don't have they brains for such action. On the contrary Takara created their own Universe toyline with brand new molds, not just ugly repaints.

They were trying to come up with a new colourscheme that you could still actually find on a Firetruck. Black and white, while also boring as hell, quite frankly doesn't exist on a fire engine as far as I'm aware of. Yellow does. And it could have been pulled off quite well, if a few details were taken care of:

-Change the smaller Prime mode chest to gold, instead of keeping the red chrome from the original

-Possibly change the colour of his smaller robot head, shin details, and cuffs to a deep gold paint

-detail the symbol on the Super-mode chest, instead of leaving only the ring chromed

-make the Omega Prime shoulder pieces on Magnus the same yellow.

After which, it would have been quite awesome IMO.

Not that it matters much, as I'm perfectly content with my normal RiD versions.

Seriously! What made Universe RiD Prime look nasty was that they didn't bother to change the chest from red to yellow. Half-assed effort IMO.

You koow there are only like 4 new molds for that line right? The rest are repaints.

RID Prime is a stud, Big C is a close second. I am stoked about Robotmaster Prime, but he looks pretty fugly in truck mode at this point... I must investigate!

I don't expect any new molds in universe, nor will there ever be any. It's the repaint line. period. get over it.

Yeah, thanks -- I figured that one out all by myself. :tflaugh

My point = Takara, as usual, put more effort into their "TFs from the past" line.
