Well, I decided late last night to repaint one of my G1 Galvatron's, since I'm not overly impressed with the light-purple chosen for the reissue (but i'm still gonna get it).  I took the one with the most chrome-wear and no labels 'cept for a torn factory chest sticker, and with a red sharpie, silver sharpie & "starfire purple" bic markers, I basically had 'im done in less than 2 hours, and I think it turned out very well :thumb  The only thing I couldn't do of course was make the cannon mount grey (probably by a repro one later), and swap the thigh colors, but overall, not a big deal.  Anyway, on to the pix :)

 

 

 

 

 

OH so thats where i got the idea the micromaster hot rod was pink looks nice but i've got my preorder for the pinkish purpleish reissue..

A bunch of KO RM Starscreams, repainted those with sharpies too.  There's a thread somewhere in here 'bout 'em, too lazy to find it myself ;)

mini-update/touch-up.  Decided to do the shoulders & waist up, and painted over the chrome around the neck to make it look better too.  Colored the tops of the hips red like the HoC shows, but it's not really visible.  Comparison shot between original, repainted, and reissues.

 

why did they make the original white/grey anyway?
