Isn't this a transformer website? Stop with the religion. I don't think anyone really cares about that old out-dated crap anymore. Religion is dying and less and less ppl seem to care about it. And just so I can get some shock in here, it was proven last year that there was no god when bush got voted in for a second term :tfpuke

You're one of them leftists, aren't you?  :tflaugh1

Tripredacus:

I meant what I meant - Christology. I was trying to point out the symbols and meanings that makes inferences to Christ in the Matrix.

"New Age" is the belief in yourself and universal "energy" - which is still unproven unto this day. New Age is a mixture of religion, Eastern philosophy and spiritualism, and a large bulk of superstitious practices and beliefs (i.e. the aforementioned "energy") that dominates the creed. Sadly, more and more people are regressing to this superstitious nonsense.

Well some were bashing religion, or reliigious beliefs while others of us were standing up for religions such as Christianity and the Jewish faith. However for some reason most seem to be bashing religious beliefs.

If no one cared about religion, we wouldn't be talking about it, now would we? The fact is, peoples' beliefs are reflected in their works, so it is only natural that Transformers or anything else has religion overtones to it. And I am not into one-sided discussions.

Much like everything else.

Sadly, more and more people are regressing to this superstitious nonsense.

Why is it sad to chose your own way of life? Not everyone wishes to be a sheep among the flock.

I think that is what he was talking about how more and more people are following the empty superstitious "new age" teachings rather than following the tried and true religions such as the Jewish faith and Christianity. Religions that for thousands of years have been leading people to have very big changes in their life. The most effective drug rehab programs are those which are run by Christian groups check for yourself if you doubt me.

Yes Christianity has blood on it`s hands from the Crusades but in all actuallity they Crusades were to try and keep the Muslem invaders from destroying the holy city of Jeruselem.

You are right about one thing though if noone was interested in talking about their religious beliefs this topic wouldn`t be 4 pages long.

I think that is what he was talking about how more and more people are following the empty superstitious "new age" teachings rather than following the tried and true religions such as the Jewish faith and Christianity.

I'm sorry, I think that's a really unfair comment.

Most so called 'new age' teaching's are actually grounded in beliefs that pre-date christianity.

Empty they are not.

And many of these faiths are only around in 'new age' forms because men that claimed to speak in god's name wiped out these faiths centuries ago.

The crusades were not the only blood christianity has on it's hands.

Also, there are plenty who follow their beliefs and change a great many people's lives for the better on a regular basis, but they don't attach their faith's name to it, usually because the deed is all that amtters and whio gets credit dioesn't even make it into the equation.

I'm not bashing chritsianity, but it is no more or less empty than many other beliefs out there.

It's one thing not to follow a faith, but to then not even register it as such and ignore it's achievements or compare them to yours is another entirely.

Actually I think Hornet has a point here. Please don`t think me sacreligious but I`d say that Optimus is almost akin to Moses. Hear me out. He leads the Autobots through their journey here on earth in their eyes a great wilderness. Also Optimus holds within his spark a connection to Primus the matrix, just as Moses carried the ten commandments. Once again I`m not being sacreligious, as I`m a very firm believer in Christianity, which is much more than a religion it is an actual relationship with our heavenly Father.

"Father Prime, I have filled the basin with matrixy water"

lol. :tftongue

but seriously, I think although it is good not to take the shows too seriously and the authors probaly don't usaly put too much effort into the cartoons, it is still legitimate to look for subliminal connections in plots, characters and their personalities. so to those of you who are more critical to this view, be less down to earth/realistic and contribute to the conspericy theriories. don't debunk them. It's all just hypothetical in a way. just flow with it. back to the subject: I think both Hornet and "Father" Rodimus here have a point. Prime is kicking tailpipe most of the time and Megs & co. are more and more unable to adapt. Primus is also contributing, as decribed by my previous theriory of Primus controling the fate of the war the whole time. (search my posts for it.) It is a kind of holy mission as well.  It definetly makes you think.

I thought it was all about Takara/Hasbro and the Electric company trying to suck all of our money away...

you know what folks, this poll has already bored me. :tdown

Now until all the new TF's Japanese shows have a better storytellin' and realize that this franchise shouldn't be so lame (as for an animated show that is), our only HOPE is the new movie coming in 07'.

Lets hope that this historical moment in TF's history would be worth the wait and the expectation we all have.

'TILL ALL ARE ONE! :tfgrin  :tflaugh  :thumb

Actually, I meant people were giving up something retarded for something even more retarded.
