it's all about the futility of attempting to go against the will of God/the Universe.

think about it, no matter how powerful Megatron becomes, Galaxy Convoy always manages to beat him with little effort. also, most of Megatron's troops are either dead or they defected to the autobot side when they realized the futility of trying to defeat Galaxy Convoy. and why is Galaxy Convoy so neigh invincible? because he literally has God on his side, ie, he's carrying out the will of Primus. the message is clear: you should just accept your destiny and do not interfre with the will of the Universe because it is futile to resist.

Man, there must be a world of difference between Galaxy Force and Cybertron - I've been watching a hunk of ass.

I hope for whatever cartoon comes next is that they end it with the decepticons winning control of cybertron (or earth) and the next series would be about the autobots several years later trying to rebuild a force to retake the planet. Sort of like G1 season 2 to the movie but with an actual story not just a narration explaing what happened in the last 20 years. I'm getting kind of sick of the Megatron is stealing mini-cons/energon/cyber-keys, Megatron gets upgraded to galvatron so the autobots upgrade too; etc formula we seen since armada.

Actually this has been around since CR/RID. Gigatron/Megatron upgraded to Devil Gigatron/Galvatron and the car brothers got new paint schemes. I let the concept of Megatron changing paint schemes into Galvatron slide since the show had already been produced when brought over to america. Using this same tactic for four series is ridiculous. Why can't the Transformers be more humanish in concept. We can't randomly upgrade just because we have a strong will or desire to do so. Let them battle it out with a true war mentality and not all this inner ki stuff.

That's the biggest problem with having the show produced in the east. It has an eastern mentality to it. Their love of over-the-top super heroes is incredible. And references become distinctly eastern. Armbullet and Gasket with the cheerleading fans is a great example of this. That's what truly bugs me. Unless you're an anime fan and you know to expect such references, it will come off has odd.

Far as cybertron/GF teaching us not to mess with god, that doesn't make much sense. The reference can be tied to nearly any saturday morning cartoon with battle scenes. The good guy hardly ever loses and when he does he normally comes back stronger from the experience and kicks the bad guys butt. Normally without any consequences.

That's just from a story point of view. You also not forget that the main purpose of the show (has previously stated by many people) is to sell...........toys.

To be honest, I don't think it was any religion that influenced GF, but rather, the Disney-isms of how no matter how absurd it may seem, the bad guys are always oafish and idiotic while the good guys have all the answers, have to believe in themselves, and will always win in the end no matter what.

The "believing in yourself" is usually a humanist tone, but when it comes with charging auras, miraculous recoveries and super-powerful finishing attacks, it adds a certain Eastern religious tone to it.

Great arguments there Convoy-Chan.

I mean ever since Headmasters, the Japanese cartoons have been more about "over-the-top-heroes". If the going gets rough, they bust out a new attack, supermode or they realize "they can do anything if you just believe in it". Gets kinda boring.

I think being a Japanese kids show good guys have to win which is why there are so many easy victories. DBZ does not count as I think it is not really a kids show. The writers are just trying to please their audiences.

Ive noticed that alot of the new shows follow the same formula as the brave series

big nastly alian robots try to smash up earth and carry out thier evil plan. Good alian robots try to stop them often with the help of a small child. Then in the fights they try to beat them in normal mode get Own3d the go into supa mode often conbine aswell and then with thier wanting to win they summon the power to win

and thats not to far off what every action cartoon is like

as for religon in GF no or at least nothing huge

i agree that the problems you discribe are rife at trhe moment.

some Anime shows have atleast tried to create situations that heros can't get around, but many more still stick to the might is right idea, and do not seem to get how this degrades the audience.

They should get back to the idea that its strategy that gets the limelight not supermodes etc.

in the next show (hopefully a brand new universe and not a continuation of GF etc)

show have more of a universal edge to it.

My idea.

my idea is a that transformers (autobots) have an empire that spans the universe, planet earth, cybertron, Nebulon and afew others, they are hidden unseen protectors against evil and occassional help take down a rogue dictator.

centuries ago the Autobots drove the darker forces from their worlds, the final battle destroyed the last of the decepticons (under the control of the now decesed unicron) and the main enermies of peace (now) are the Quintessons (creators of the pre-spark transformers) and their robotic army sharkticons - some are enslaved Decepticons)

The autobots have had peace for centuries and are unprepared for the swift rise of new enermies.

An autobot within cybertron plans to turn the autobots in monsters who he can control.

Unicron awakens and begins building his supersoilder army to destroy all life in the universe.

Dr Arkeville Plans to conquere earth by using mind controlled slave (like in G1)

The Swarm 'metal eatters' plan to eat all metal in the universe to reproduce and kill all other creatures (all part of a collective creature) called Ragnorerok.

The Quintessons plan to retake Cybertorn and kill the bot they blame for stealing their world from them, Alpha trion.

The decepticons thought destroyed, return and plan to conquer the universe.

The evil Hive lead by Lord Zarak plan to retake Nebulose and kill the autobots who helped dethrown him.

The autobots have all the resources but have to fight on many fronts, and if they lose to many battles on one front and they are doomed.

plenty of story opportunities, plenty of enermies and we final get everyone into the open without have tones of upgrades and baddies appering from nowhere with no explianation etc this could have so many types of things in it. secret plans, alliences, grudge matches. who says a universe has to be just about the autobot decepticon conflict.

by having the autobots spread out we can have episodes that are focused only on specific groups of transformers and their personalities. also with all the bots spread out and alive at the very beginning we can see how the diffrent conflicts effect them. also we have no popup characters e.g. like the movie (who the hell are they?)

although i would hate the idea of having several primes?!! just have 1 and have diffrent leaders on diffrent planets.

Cybertron: Emerat xaaron/Lord Straxus.

Earth: Optimus prime/Starscream.

Nebulous: Fortress maximus/ Lord Zarak.

Paradrone (the planet in the episode were the autobots destroyed it): Kup/ Razorclaw.

Autobot base world is cybertron. (as it was in episode rebirth or close enough)

Decepticon base world is Demot a world of molten lava. megatrons home

etc

Based on G1 (which seris aren't) and just try to make it full on power trip.

I really like the last idea. DT3 you should type up a pilot script for the first episode. I think however now that the GF planets have been added to the TF Universe they should be in the mix as well. With Scourge and his beast forces fighting against the Autobot`s jungle forces, Overide and the other Speed Planet Autobots fighting against the Speed Planet Decepticons, and Metroplex and his crew fighting against the Evil bots on the Giant Planet. Primus dicating what needs to be done on all fronts from the bowels of Cybertron to Alpha Trion who is the true commander of the Autobots but stay there in the center of Cybertron to dictate the commands that Primus gives him. We could throw all of the different Autobots and Decepticons from thoughout the G1 through the Cybertron Universes.

that is pretty cool idea, i think that as many ideas from the diffrent universes (the best of them) could be thrown together to make the best universe yet.

The idea of having multiple fronts is that we can see how diffrent commanders react to diffrent situations and allows us to have a better look at some of them.

some of the ideas that come from Kup's war stories (in G1) could also become seperate stories.

with so many battles going on, the show would never get stale as long as you never focus on one story for too long e.g. you can only see megatron retreat so many times before you are bored senseless.

if i do write the first episode where can i post it (i think i will work on it)...

p.s. i will try to re-write many of the sub-plots featured in the other seris' to make them better.

IMHO, they shouldn't be preaching any religious beliefs, Eastern or Western, on a kiddie show.
