It kind of looks like Bumblebee may have fallen through the ceiling or something to that extent. There is a lot of debris in the area.

Why would an alien robot life-form from a highly advanced planet be made of cast metal...?

well it has to be not as tough as regular metal due to shape shifting and all reformatting
