Review - Cybertron Defense Red Alert

Recommended Posts

Red alert's alt mode has been converted to an armored missile carrier. Although still a medic in function, he has been beefed up to defend Cybertron. Quite a beefup indeed, as he has grown 2 classes from Deluxe to Ultra. Just by the looks, you can tell that he is one tough bot to deal with now. And if the armor wasn't enough, there's the enormous rocket he carries on the roof. Read More

I Just got one today - and he's Great!

I agree mostly with your review except that - his missle can not slide to the opposite sholdure as you suggest - the track ends in the center (ie for Transformation)

As i said in the other thread - i think this mold fits a "megatron" much better than RA... make the Batmobile a Skywarp or something....

Just like the original C-RA - his transformation is not simple - but it is easy.  Each step logically takes you to the next step for a series of little discoveries.

I dont think that he is the absolute CLASSIC that the Deluxe version is - but hes pretty fantastic

Overall i am very happy with him,

DAMN! they'll won't be here to after xmas i am thinking oh well i'll have galvatron soon anyway!

It's a great figure that I recommend to anyone. I can't wait to get the other two to go with this one.

I saw him at TRU tonight. He's friggin huge!! Are the others going to be anywhere close to this size?

Hmm, I'm not sure. I don't remember them being as big though. Hot Shot still looked like a Deluxe and I think Scattorshot has been upgraded to a Deluxe as well.

Hotshot is still a Deluxe, and kinda looks like a smallish deluxe.

Scattorshot is a voyager class figure. I would have swapped the sizes on those two, given their original sizes.

I bagged CD RA today, and he is far and away my favorite Cybertron figure. He has a good G1 vibe to him, but with articulation!

Hope they get released here, that looks fun.

Scattorshot is a Voyager/Mega sized figure.  In robot mode, he comes to the same head height as Red, but he's nowhere near as bulky.  His vehicle mode's also a lot flatter, since it's just treads and a missile box.

Hot Shot actually shrinks a bit, he's not quite a head shorter than his previous incarnation, but his shoulders stick up more.  Hot Shot was crazy-tall originally, anyways.
