Art Project, on my DOOR!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I'm once again looking to you guys for a little help. Here's the idea:

For the longest time, I haven't had a door on my room. Soon, though, I'll be getting one, and I thought it might be neat to decorate it a bit. I plan on using a projector to project the images of my three favorite G1 transformers on to the door, trace them, line them, and then paint them.

I'll be looking on the net for pieces, but I thought you guys might have some pieces I might be able to use. Here are the three bots:

Optimus Prime

Bumble Bee

Hound

For Optimus, it can be a newer version, just something very large and strong looking. Bumble Bee, I'd really prefer the classic look, drawn smoother than the cartoon was, but definitely BB. Hound, I'll take a newer version, maybe line art of the Alt. version.

Hound will be in the bottom left corner in the fore-ground, Bumble bee in the middle-right, and Optimus will be dominant in the upper right corner in the back ground. If nobody can post anything, that's fine, I just figured I'd ask.

The plan is to take these line-art drawings, print them, make transparencies out of them, and then project them on to the door. Feel free to ask questions, and thanks for any help!

That's a great idea. We did that for a friend of mine's Eagle Scout project. We traced animals from a book onto transparencies and painted them on the wall using an overhead projector. It worked great. :thumb

how's this for an idea.. and yes.. the org ones are much bigger...

The second one is damn-near perfect. The only differences between it and the image in my mind are A)I imagine Prime as more than just a head, B) Hound was more his Alternator self than his G1 self, and C) their Hound and Bumble Bee's positions were switched.

Anyway I can get this is in line-art form and larger, nixing the ads across the photo? I really like that Prime's head is right there, looking full of wisdom. It's awesome!

I can move things around... but I cant give you a line art version since I didnt draw it... did photo editing .. the org is 5x9" @ 150 rez. The "ads accross the front" are my stuff so things dont get used yet. Let me know what you want to do or me to do.

Alright, well, the door has to be painted white. Black just isn't an option. Is there a way to change the background from black to white without messing the image up?

It'd be great if the image could be converted to black and white and sized to a sheet of paper to allow for easier printing and making into a transparency. Then, I'll use the original image to fill in the appropriate colors and such, once the image has been traced on to the door.

Thanks for your help! Get back to me soon!

I can just give your a copy of the 3 pics by themselves in color and b/w and u can do what ever to them. Email me sdwnymph@aol.com and let me know.
