Energon Turbine

Recommended Posts

Well I just finished my Spring break project... well finished enough to show off! I still need to do a few touch-ups and trim off the excess glue.

Allow me to introduce you to Turbine, my fan character since forever. This is his first incarnation in toy form.

I made it from a Skyblast for the main body, a parts bot G1 Wheeljack for the car front, a dead Schrapnel for the head, a hotwheels toy for the windshield, then some legos and gundam model parts for the other stuff and joints.

He's meant to be another Omnicon in the Energon line. You can attach his spark crystal in robot mode and the energon weapons to his spoiler.

I hope you like him :D

That's effin' cool. How much time did it take to do?

Thanks to both you and Snowman :)

It took me a couple of days, a few hours at a time of playing with random omni/terrorcons and other toys until I found a transformation I could both modify and thought looked cool. Then I bought a double of it while it was still on sale at Target. I opened my box of junk bots, Gundams and legos and played with pieces until I had a general idea.

I unfortunately don't do much preparing because I like to jump to the finished product so I compromised a few things and changed them as I went. But in the end I was quite happy. It turned out much better than any of my other kitbashes.

The actual building process and painting took about 3 days off and on.
