Custom Sunstreaker!

Recommended Posts

Finally, I got it near complete... about 95%... I still have the windows to paint (dreading that) and the headlights possibly as well as the front grill "intake" area... and then some touchups.

The amazing thing is that this model's pieces don't come in contact with the other painted pieces, which means no chipping of paint...

enjoy:

:drool :beer

I wish I had skillz...

Veddy veddy nice - Looks like a good paint job, high quality. I personally am not a fan of yellow (hell, it's what started me custom painting, with my Sam's Club RID Prime), but it's very accurate to the character.

too bad you couldnt fix the slash on his hood...but the paint job is A1 great work...also if i could make a suggestion paint the grill by his legs black or something just to give it an accent or something

That's great! :thumb

I like how the sides of the head and the spoiler worked out with that mold :nuts

yea, I wish I could get rid of the slash... been thinking of how, but don't think it's gonne happen.

and I am planning on painting more along the back area like you said as well... can't wait to have this one done... I have another armada WJ that I'm probably going to paint to mimic his G1 look.

i seen something like that at the transformerscon in canada just a while ago in toronto, looks really good!! :thumb

To fix the slash, use a bit of modelling clay and then file it flush with fine sanding paper and then paint.

To fix the Autobot symbol, either use modelling clay again or just cut some plastic nodelling card (or even the shiny side of a cereal packet) flush and symbol shaped (only the outline). Next once its stuck over the original symbol, paint it black and then find a large Autobot sticker or transfer (like reprolabels.com) and apply it onto the new surface.

Voila!
