i think armorhide managed to capture something that has been missing from TFs since the 84-86 lines... i can't say what that "something" is, but that's the feeling i get when i pull him off the shelf. :thumb

I totally agree.  I think it has to do with it being more recognizable as an earth vehicle and truly being a robot in disguise---which is severely lacking these days, as far as the "purpose" of an alt. mode goes.

Armorhide's just has great articulation, a very unique transformation, very clean (no kibble) bot and alt modes, a non-obstructive Force Chip gimmick... all for the low, low price of a Cybertron Basic.  :D

Cybertron Hot Shot, Crosswise, Thundercracker, Jetfire, Scattorshot, Overhaul, and Lugnutz would like to have a few words with you...

Well, Hot Shot it one of those uber-expensive supercars that you'd never see except in some rich dude's garage, and Crosswise doesn't fare much better in that regard, but they're all pretty believable, and very close to the real-life vehicles they're based off of.

I am very much wanting him, just hoping to find him in stores here though and that's just a small chance. He's a good all round figure.

yeah he is tight - he is posable - his chip gimmick does not suck - he has homage ironhide all over him - and even though he is small - it makes his alt mode kewler - like the little engine that could - all small and strong and Blot - really kewl.  Wish he was in the show.

So, i nabbed one of these today and at first was not thinking it'd be the best toy out there. It looked good enough in semi mode, but i was not diggin' the robot mode. Anyways, i open the toy and again, am suprised at how awsome these cybertron toys are!!! He was much more than i thought the tubby little guy could be, the missle pods were extremely well done. 2 pieces instead of one, made for a more in depth look, and the transparent plastic made it all the better. The storage of the chip on the gun was a nice touch as well. This toy has grown on me in just one day.

I also agree that he's one of the best. Armorhide is one of the best for his size range. I just don't get how you can straighten out his hook AND have his force key in at the same time. When the key is inserted, the hook has to be turned to make room.
