Cy. Megs' gun..

Recommended Posts

Grr.

My Cybertron Megs's gun has never really worked 100%, but a couple days ago I tried to "fix" it and I think I made it worse -- now, the gears for making it spin aren't catching on the axle.

Can anyone help? has anyone dismantled it and figured out where things go, or distances needed?

It's obvious, upon opening, that it is supposed to be a pressure thing, where a spring keeps the center axle tight on the other gears to make it spin. I think this is where my problem lies.

Upon opening, the center axle has 2 gears on it, and 2 black pieces (one with a holding thing for the spring, the other like a washer), and the spring in-between.

I can move the gear that is close to the black washer, and I think I can move the black piece that holds the spring. I can't move the other gear though (which is the one I believe is supposed to press against the wheel's gear, as opposed to the crank handle).

I could post pics if it is easier... but I'm hoping someone knows my problem and how to fix it.

I've taken it apart before, but I can't visualize your problem. Pictures would help a great deal.

I konw your problem because I have the same one.  The back cog is not catching the cog that rotate the wheel.  Honestly, I can't figure out how to fix it.  I've opened it up, but, ... I just fixed it!

Open it up.  The little bar with the spring should be visible.  Take it out and on the left end pull the sprocket just a little. It should work now.  I'd take pictures but my batteries are dead.

I got it fixed.

Basically, the cog to the crank was right, and the spring was right, but the cog that came out to connect to the wheel was getting pushed back.

Leaving the axle in the assembely, I used a thin screwdriver to push up on the cog, causing it to slip out further until it got to a point where it could click correctly.
