Who is your fav recolor & why?

I know many of us hate recolors, but sometimes they can look better or give us a TF mold that we missed out on.

I think my fav is those stormjet jetstorm recolors. For some reason I like the next more than the last.

The Sunstreaker/Sideswipe OTFCC exclusives of the Mach alert mold.

Black Convoy. Laser Prime was a beautiful toy... with absolutely terrible paint. BC was a masterpiece. :D

 

Deep Cover, Diaclone Magnus, Black Starscream, Energon Unicron, Universe Skywarp are up there too.. I tend to like the darker paint schemes. Those, and the really off the wall ones.

I’m not big on recolors but there are a couple that I really like. Sorry can’t just pick one. I really like the Universe recolors Blackarachnia, Inferno, Autobot Ratchet, and I really like the Skywarp recolor :thumb . I have all of those but I just can’t bring myself to buy the Skywarp cuz I already have Jetstorm and Jahinx (I have no idea how to spell that). I normally don’t buy a mold I already have. I got Jahinx (don’t really like the colors, I just like the character from G2, and wanted the mold) for X-Mas and Jetstorm in a lot of Beast Machines toys (plus have to have any charater from a cartoon I liked). I never bought X-Brawn or Prowl but when I saw the recolors I had to buy them. When I find King Altas I will be buying him and love that recolor. :drool . Well those are my favorites :thumb

I like Universe Ratchet as well. Energon Tidal Wave comes to mind too.

If we are talking about general release figures, (or exclusives of any kind), I'd have to say Powerlinx Demolishor. Great figure, and I love the darker scheme.

 

If we are talking about custom repaints, I'd vote for my Energon Scorponok G1 Paint Job that I finished today. Pretty, so much prettier in person.

Razor Claw...just brings out the finer points of that mold...and Skywarp.
