Well, it is already 'interesting' when people not only MODIFY my icons without permission, but start MODIFYING and DISTRIBUTING without giving me credit...

 

Very disturbing indeed.

 

Why don't you design your own icons with your own art style and and distribute those? Your not the first person who has started down this 'path' of icon modding which turns into people accusing me of stealing my own icons. I even have people on forums who claim to own my website and they are Nick Kelsch.

 

And modifying the icons is copyright infringement, and since I (and many artists) do Pixel Art on a freelance basis on the web... Stealing or modifying icons is a 'big deal' because poorly modified icons can damage my icons and ability to gain work. (since I have gotten many opportunities inquieries through these TF boards)

 

It never turns out good. Never.

 

So let's see some icon creations based on your own style! There can never be too many icon creators. If people want a custom avatar or sig, let them modify their own icons for personal use. As soon as you start becoming the one stop shop for hacked up Nick icons, I have to take issue with you.
