oh no, he doesn't have much mobility, ...please, get over ya whiners, there i've said it. It's a toy, some of us like 'em all some of us don't but for the love of god! Get some new reasons not to like toys. :monkey

With that finaly having been said after holding it back forever, I frickin' love this figure, and at one point had seven of them. Galvatron was the best form of the evil leader ever, and though the figure was limited in representing the bad ass cartoon, it was still awsome and the re-release rocks. Right now though i own very few of the new g1's because of the price, too much. Yes, it's almost on par with the 80's toy but man, i think they are taking advantage of the market and making excuses to ride our wallets with these.

great looking toy :thumb  considering the similarities between their boxes, it really does feel like Galvatron is being reissued as a counterpart to Star Convoy. i take it that the box art is depicting the scene when Galvatron emerges from the lava bath at the begining of G1-S3?

It reads "Diecast Matrix"!

Was New Year Convoy's diecast as well?

Yes. I've got one and it looks to be the exact same except silver instead of gold.

Yup. I don't normally care for cardboard but that is one snazzy box.

Hobby Link Japan. Early Bird price was 6650 Yen.

The box is great but the Galvatron seems to keep his light purple colors. Too bad that Takara didn't go all out and make the guy 100% anime correct. I mean, the colors are still wrong (back and thighs should be gray and purple should be darker, more blueish). I'm looking forward seeing what they really did to his face. If the only gave him Asian eyes, that's lame...

Why is he covered in guldjaculate?

PLASMA'D

I'm still not sold on the color. After all, you're paying for the figure inside the box, not the one drawn on the outside of it.

Box art doesnt change the bricktastic figure

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Galvatron is not a brick, and is in fact one of the most poseable toys in G1.  (And that is not damning with faint praise.  I think only he loses to Jetfire for not being able to turn his head.)

He's got universal shoulder movement, elbows, waist rotation, hips, knees, and toes.
