Well I`ve been trying to give my BT Rodimus just a little more fire power so I bought an old Firebolt and rebuilt and repainted him into Rodimus VTS. Better pics to come tomorrow.

Hey thanks guys. Sorry I didn`t get better pics up Sunday but I`ll try to take some tomorrow. since it`s raining today. I had to take an emergency trip Sunday with my Dad to go get my Aunt and bring her back down to Maryland with us. Of course this means that the finishing touches on my BT Rodimus aren`t done either since we didn`t get back till around 2:00 this morning. Ah well I`ve got another 5 days off coming up the week after next.

Hey Rodimus... can I offer a little bit of criticism / advice?

 

I don't want you to take this the wrong way, because I like you a lot and your work is AWESOME... heck, I even approached you about commissioning a BT Rodimus before! :thumb

 

But my advise is this: posting a custom piece that you made yourself is a great thing. You are obviously very proud of your custom and you should be! However, just like anything that is posted here - opinions, news, rumors, etc - when the topic has outlived it's purpose, just let it die.

 

I have posted countless customs that I have worked on, and are very near and dear to my heart. Some have been accepted by others, and some have not. Everyone's opinion matters to me - that's why I post the pics here in the first place. However, when the topic is done, there is no point to reposting the same thing over again. This "in your face" approach that you are taking is not a very popular way to go with the other members on this board.

 

First, the concept pics, the WIP, then the final pics - in the dark, outside, on the porch, with other BT's -  whatever....  THEN, the trailer pics, then the whole "Hasbro stole my work" fiasco, and now the targetmaster piece. All in their own seperate posts. Like I said, great work, man... but it's about time we all moved on, don't you think?

 

Like I said, please don't take this the wrong way, because I don't want you to think that I don't respect your work... but let's give someone else the chance to showcase their work, and show the appreciation for many different talents, ok.?

I understand where you`re coming from Mazin but the reason I gave this little guy his own topic was because he`s his own person but I do try to keep all of my work on certain projects in their own topics. :thumb

I will honestly admit that there are certain parts of your Rodimus that I don't like from an aesthetic point of view: think the lower arms are too stubby compared to the upper arms, while the lower body is too slim compared to the bulkiness of the upper body. There just things I would've done different myself.

 

Nevertheless, I think this is an amazing piece of work. I applaud your work and I think this newest adition is a great find (more geewun goodness :thumb).

 

But I would really say: make a nice set of photo's and submit it to Transtopia for a gallery. This custom REALLY deserves it. Then, move on to new projects. Can't be interesting for you as well to keep working on the same thing? I know I for one would be very interested to see what you do next.

I think that a cool little guy you made up. I think it's a little silly for Rodimus Prime to have a little buddy name Rodimus who looks just like him. It's like if Batman's partner was Batman-boy or Unicron's minicon Dead End being made to look like Unicron and his name being Unicron-.001

And whilst I understand the criticisms from people on the ways and the fact that this keeps coming back in one form or another, I like it as I think it illustrates just how one idea can keep evolving and continue to grow.
