Toys R Us and Wal-Mart are making a profit on every toy they sell. So I guess they're scalpers as well.

Wow, was wondering why a thread in the end cap is so long.  Now I know.  To me, scalping is not just merely selling something for profit.  Its also buying all of said items so that no one else can buy them except through the person(s) who has them all.  I think it's great that guys like Bluavenger can sell something at cost.  I've dealt with him before and he's very fair in his prices, sometimes even generous.  But I don't have a problem with charging a nominal fee either.

Like I said if 5.00 breaks your wallet then you have some serious money issues going on. If I'm out and about and found one damn straight he would have gotten it from me for cost plus shipping. I think of all the others on here who would have done or did me the same favor. I'm a 30+ year old person and at this stage in my life 5.00 meager dollars isn't going to break my wallet. Sit back and ask yourself is it really going to make a difference in your life? HELLLLLOOOOOO?????? I serousily doubt it and if it does well need I say more? I've explained it as simply as I could, and it appears you either just don't understand, or you're deliberatly looking for a fight.    :roll

I think everyone should just calm down and back off, if you dont want to get anything from Rosedoggydog then dont, no point beratting him about it.  I have got a couple of items from him and was more than happy with the transaction, personally I would like people to post me free transformers but its not going to happen. 

 

Simply put he provided a service I was happy with, if you dont want this service then dont use it.

You know - it all boils down to personal choices IMO. It's really simple - what's the Alt. Prowl worth to someone? What difference does it make if someone is willing to sell or buy something for whatever cost? The "deal" is the business of the buyer and seller, no need to point fingers or throw stones.

 

Personally, if I wanted to buy an Alt. Prowl, and the only place I could get one was here at the forums for $5.00 extra dollars, I would get it. I would basically consider that a convienence fee, and write it off as the cost of doing business.

 

If the extra charge was too much money, then I wouldn't buy it. Plain and simple!

 

There is more than one Alt. Prowl out there, folks.

I haven't read this whole thread but how can beggers be choosers. You can not get new alts for on ebay or any where else for less than $35 usually. So Actual price plus 5 + 5 shipping seems cheap to me.

You can get alts on ebay for cheaper then $35.

 

Also, BBTS sells some new alts for less then $35.

 

Personally, if I wanted to buy an Alt. Prowl, and the only place I could get one was here at the forums for $5.00 extra dollars, I would get it. I would basically consider that a convienence fee, and write it off as the cost of doing business.

 

But this forum isn't the only place you can get alt prowl, and that's what we're pointing out. There are plenty of other places where you can get alt prowl for cost plus shipping-allspark, 2005 boards, etc. In fact, this is the only forum that I visit that i've actually seen someone charge a finder's fee. Plus there's the fact that red box prowls are still shipping, and the fishobowl box prowls are being found also. Charging more then retail for a  toy that is currently still shipping is lame, plain and simple.
