Um... just so you know - Joel typically inflates his prices to obscene amounts on his site.

Take a look at some of BBTS's pre-order listings. I stopped going to him because of his high prices, and unwillingness to compete with other retailers. Even according to Shoppertron.com, he is always the highest price.

Just wanted you to know, since you were so against the whole "scalping" concept.  :roll

I'm fully aware of his prices, compared to other online retailers.

I have yet to find another online retailer with his level of service though.

Case in point: Joel's success.

But this degresses from the point. BBTS is a retailer, much like walmart, tru, etc, and not a scalper.  :roll If Joel were running around to all the local stores, buying toys off the shelves, and then reselling them for a profit, then I'd consider him a scalper.

Do you see the different here? Scalpers: buy things at retail, sell at higher price for profit.

Retailers: buy things from distributors(or manufacturers) in large volumes to sell at their bussiness, for profit.

Now Why Do You Think, Myself And Other Has Passed On You Alternator Prowl For So Long, Because You Are A SCALPER! If You Lost The FF And Sold The Toy Just To Help Out A Fellow Tfan, Then Prowl Would Have Been Gone Long Ago. :lol

Scalping And Finders Fees Are.......

Hahaha oh that was a good one.... You think that I've had only this one Alt Prowl for sale....whew....(side still hurts from laughing so hard)...yeah, okay... I'm the scalper...hahahaha...

Maybe I should lose the FF and change it to TE (Time and Expenses)... :roll

or just say "I'll sell you an alt prowl for $30" and not break it down.

I worked out a deal with MP, so this thread should get locked before the flaming gets worse. :lock

scalping is in the eye of the beholder (or the one crying cause he does not have it)

Uh, no, it's not.

Scalping: Buying something at price, with the intent to resell it for a profit.

Finder's Fee=Profit

Therefore, ROSEDOGGYDOG=Scalper.  Simple as that. I can't break it down any simpler.

:roll

WOW!...I just mean WOW!...

Well wtf are retailers then?  Can you break that down a little simpler?

Scalping: Buying something at price, with the intent to resell it for a profit.

All this time I was wondering what the Capitalist Retailer motto was. Damn...who knew?

Retailers buy the merchandise from the manufactuers.

And no, I can't break it down any simpler. Sorry you don't understand.  :roll

I think you should keep your insults to yourself and try to make your point withoout actually refering to people, you have a difference of opinion, fine, dont start flaming people. Its rude, offensive and pointless. You see Rosedoggydog as a scalper, I see him as someone who has helped me out one items that do not enter my locality or even my country.

I dont see him as a scalper as he doesnt buy the item from retail and then offer it at a higher price, he gets an order and fills it, same as with all the car dealerships when you have a specific requirement, they will go out, buy a car for you as per your instruction (not direct from manufacturer as retailers will get there stock from ANYWHERE the item could be for sale in the next street and you dont know it) they mark it up and sell it on.

Try to curb your obvious desire to have the last word and stop creating unpleasant feelings, I dont give a damn about your opinion but you made it, stop remaking it and being abusive.

Those aren't insults, just my opinion. You can see it any way you like.

Then you missed his posts. He does buy them, and then turns around and resells them. Case in point, at one time he had multiple prowls and decepticharges. I know, cause I almost purchased a set from him. If he doesn't buy them right away, he hides them in the store, which is just as bad as scalping.

I suggest you re-read the thread. Notice the title? Right where it says "No scalpers"?

After Rosey first tried to sell a prowl to RR, he was told "No thanks". It was his repeated insistance that RR couldn't get it cheaper that brought down the thread.
