Not a matter of having to much money on our hands that we don't need to charge a finders fee or any nonsense like that. It's the principle of somebody comes here looking for a particular item that they cannot find in thier area and is not looking to get jacked by somebody looking to take advantage of them. Honestly I need money like everybody else but if I found a prowl I most certainly would sell it to a fellow tfan on here for what it cost me plus the shipping charge. No more no less. I mean cmon if you need to charge somebody 5.00 for your gas then apparently you shouldn't be driving around looking for toys then and should conserve your gas for when you really need it. Becasue if 5.00 breaks you then you have more serious issues then using gas going on.

If I was to buy a TF for somebody, I would FOR SURE charge an extra $5 for gas (going to the toy store + post office) and packaging. Maybe you guys have just too much money in your pockets, I don't. Don't be lazy and get your Prowl on Ebay like me.

Honestly, not really... I only go to TRU and Walmart for my own TF needs. :)

Actually, if you'll read up a few posts, someone did sell him an alt prowl(red box), misb, for less then you. :)

 

Wether you waiver from your price or not has no bearing on the fact that you are scalping. 

 

Did you buy the alt deadend recently? Cause there's a big difference between something that is still at retail and something that is not.

Like I said if 5.00 breaks your wallet then you have some serious money issues going on. If I'm out and about and found one damn straight he would have gotten it from me for cost plus shipping. I think of all the others on here who would have done or did me the same favor. I'm a 30+ year old person and at this stage in my life 5.00 meager dollars isn't going to break my wallet. Sit back and ask yourself is it really going to make a difference in your life? HELLLLLOOOOOO?????? I serousily doubt it and if it does well need I say more? It's crap like this that ruins this place and takes the fun from it. They want to put a smakcdown on scalping then here's agood place to start! Finders fees my arse! Childish BS is all it is.

I have done that for a few people here. If I'm already heading out to a place where they carry Transformers, and I know that someone is looking for a particular item, and its there, I get it for them, and I'm SURE there are some people here that would do the same. Hell, I've even went to the store just for other people when they ask me to get them a particular item that I have spotted and they can't seem to find it where they are.

Like I said before, to me it's the demand for the "finders fees" that get me. We are all here because we enjoy a toy line, not to make a "profit" off of fellow members/collectors.

I try to do nice things for people because I know someday I may need a favour in return, and not necessarily from the person I did the favour for.

true there are some very good people on this board one time i was desparately seeking wheeljack and way over offering for him and i had a trade with  member "strikeback" for some alts and he sent a wheeljack in there for free....ive also made special trips for people for tfs but not at cost if its like 21.25 i say 22.00 plus s/h worst case i end up with some loose change in my pocket

I dont think I have ever went out of my way to pick up a tf for someone, unless it was a gift. I make regular tf runs and if i see a hot item I may pick up an extra and start an endcap thread, but I am sorry I love you guys but I am not going out of my way to do YOUR tf shopping

I have but only because

1. I didn't have the cash to get it when I first saw them

 

2. Target is less than 5 minutes away when I live on campus

 

3. I also use that trip to buy groceries

 

4. I make sure whoever i'm buying for knows that I'm going to ship when it's convienient for me, which is probably a weekend when I'm driving past the post office.
