I can't wait to see this finished...I don't know how the process of scratch-building works...but man, if you could create replicas...I'd be on line for one, maybe two...maybe even three...hahahaha

Awsome job mark! the gun mode reminds me of a 44 magnum

I'm going to go against the populous and say lose the gun barrel. It looks out of scale and considering that you were modeling the gun alt after one style of gun, adding the barrel really detracts away from the make of the gun, IMHO.

The gun's style is still a P38 for the most part, so a barrel should be quite essential.  On the other hand, I think the current one looks a bit too big, and could afford to be redone at 75%-80% scale. Otherwise I'd imagine it'd stick out too much in robot mode compared to the average rendition.

I kind of like the current size of the barrel.  Gives it a more dramatic look.

well the current barrel is a test to see what kind of look it would give.... the size will go down defenitly.... but not much just enought to get the proportions right for megatron....

 

at first i was not suposse to add a barrel but now with what i see, there will defenitly be one.... and of course it looks a bit like a p-38 wich i think makes allot of you guys out there happy !!! so hopefully it will be all done in about a week....

 

but i,ve heard by rumours that hasbro had plans to make a futuristic gun with a masterpiece megatron... guess i,m one step ahead of them ;)
