Battle Ravage & Kicker

Recommended Posts

So, the new Energon comic is upon us, but what happened to quality control?

Unless my aging optics are mistaken (and i hope they are), Kicker has changed from brown/black haired Japanese citizen into a "All American Hero2 Blonde! perhaps he wanted to be a transformer too?

Plus, in the latest ep of Superlink, Ravage was walking with Kicker, like his pet, and in the comic, he's bigger than an average Dinobot!

Im not one to gripe about differences between various TF media, but doesnt anyone else think that these differences are a bit, well, BIG?

I dont really enjoy the energon comic nearly as much as the show.

TF comics have always differed from the toon. Sometimes a lot. This is no different. I like the 2 flavors personally. You get drones and characterized Terrorcons - just not at the same time. :)

And yes the show kicks ass.

Rad? Well, that clears ONE thing up! Is Rads armour the same as Kickers? It looks the same!

Its a bit weird though. Normally, I enjoy the comics better than the cartoons, and although I liked the look of Armada prime fighting the horsemen in the first Energon comics, this "huge terracon" thingy looks, well, odd.

Hope Dreamwave sort it out.

I have purposfully neglected to get involved in Energon (except for the righteous toys...Keen!) So please forgive my ignorance but, I thought that Rad was supposed to be kicker? Please get me straight ladies and gentlemen.

Rad isn't Kicker.

Kicker is the son of a scientist who has a working relationship with the TFs. He can "detect" energon deposits for some reason. As for the differences between the show and comic, I personally like them because that way I can get different takes on the same material.

We should all be hapy that the show is better than the comic. The comic is always at a certain level of goodness, but the show is hit or miss for me. The fact that we have such a great show is a blessing. The reason the Armada comic looked so great is because look what we had to compare it with. :punch

Now, if they could only come out with a G1 show that was at least on-par with the dreamWave comic (Yes, I KNOW: "it'll never happen" Well, it WON'T unless we all start bichin' up a Cyberstorm to the powers that be!!)

Yup. I like differences between comic and shos, but not THIS difference!
