I am such an impulse buyer, but in this fandom, it's a necessity.

 

I had decided yesterday that I wanted to buy all the DVD sets of Beast Wars, because I've come to appreciate the excellent writing, story, and character development in the show, even though the only Beast Wars figure I own is Optimus Primal's Universe repaint. Yeah.

 

So I hopped on Amazon and purchased all three. To those of you who will say it, don't tell me I could have gotten them cheaper somewhere else. I don't care. I paid less than I was expecting, and therefore feel good about my purchase.

 

The downside, however, is that I have to wait for 13-15 days for my sets to be delivered! Yes, I went the cheap way, and elected for free shipping. Oh well, I'm just happy I went ahead and got them. Anybody else get these sets, and are you happy with them?

 

 

Summary: I bought the Beast Wars DVD sets on Amazon, and I'll get them in about 2 weeks. Also, I know you don't care.

 

 

NOTE: I realized this sounded a bit rude, so let me clarify. I work as a Pizza Delivery Driver, and combined with 50 dollars from my paycheck and two closing night's tips, I was able to produce just barely enough for the sets. I'm not loaded, and I'm not trying to brag about it, I was just happy that I could afford them all at once. So, in closing, I would like to state that I am NOT an ass. Thank you.

Free shipping from amazon is good, so that's a good call.  I have used it

several times.  Sometimes my stuff arrived earlier that 13-15 days, so you

might get them sooner than you think. Beast wars box set is always a good

purchase.

I would say that it was a good choice all around. The sets are very much worth the $$$, plus the free shipping is the way to go. Usually I get my stuff from Amazon in about 4-5 days instead of 2 wks or whatever, so keep an eye out.

 

Best TF series of all time, w/o a doubt. Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for the replies, guys! It's good to hear that they may arrive sooner. They're something worth waiting for, but getting them sooner will be icing on the cake.

 

I'm really glad Amazon does the free shipping. Shipping and Handling charges were the only thing keeping me from purchasing stuff online, but I can no longer find the sets here at home, so I was kinda forced into it. When I noticed a free shipping option, I nearly flipped.

 

I think I'll be buying a lot more stuff online through Amazon. It'll be like Christmas every couple of weeks! :clap  :clap

The beat wars box sets are great...good quality and good specials. You  will love them!

I'm in a similar boat. I loved my box sets but I don't own any BW toys. Actually, I kind of hate them. :tftongue

Heh, I had quite a few BW figs, but I got rid of them all in one of my "I'm too old for toys" phases. Luckily, I've outgrown those, but now I'm trying to recollect those old figures. Tough going, that.
