Your theory sounds reasonable.

i thought that Jazz was named Meister because of Jazz's black-esque personality and that the word "meister" was popular black slang for some one who was good at something. ex: some one who was good at playing jazz would be called a "jazzmeister".

I would say Galvatron1 is right.

Meister means master in German BTW.

But what does Jager mean?

But what does Jager mean?

Hunter, but Jagermeister is also a German beer, and that's probably where the car got the name.

That word has an older meaning as well. In World War II, Reichsjagermeister was the title of Hermann Goring, and translates to Huntsman of the Reich/Kingdom/State, or Master Hunter of the State, or various other synonymous meanings. Prior to World War II, the term Jagermeister was used on its own.

I wouldn't be surprised if the name meister did indeed come from the german word. Afterall, Darth VADER got his last name from Dutch word from father. You see it more often that words are lent from another language to create names.

Jager = hunter

meister = master

ergo, Jagermeister = master hunter

I also wouldn't call jagermeister a beer. It's got 35 % alcohol and should be considered hard liquor (although some call it a coughsirop because it contains several herbs and helps with a sore throat -- never noticed that btw). It should  be stored in the freezer as it tastes best when it's very very cold. (I've always got a bottle there.)

Bearing in mind that other Autbots had names based on their vehicle modes, you're probalby onto something allright.

Meister was popular black slang..............All righty then. Master was popular for people related to rap. Jam Master J, Master Ace, Funk Master Flex, Mix Master Mike, Mix Master(add name Here)

Master of Ceremonies ect
