Damn. Didn't know that. My issue is they didn't even call him Jazz. he was given different names.

Jazz was someting different in Season 3?  I thought he just....wasn't there

I remember one episode where the bots are on another planet racing and Jazz is there and they call him something else. I remember this because the scene with Jazz was in the credits. He's running really fast and transforms or vice versa.

You're thinking of the Five Faces of Darkness... Jazz was there, it was Jazz, and he was competing in some intergalactic games.  Blurr was all up in arms about it because it should've been him, but he was selected for the mission to deliver Metroplex's transforming cog.

I think he considered himself a new guy.

"UltraMagnus! I, Galvatron, shall crush you like Megatron crushed Prime!"

That's funny.  I was going to use that same quote to support my arguement: that Galvatron largely considered himself an upgrade of Megatron.  He seemed to take pride in the fact that he (as Megatron) "killed Prime" (see Hot Rod).  He also took exception to Magnus' reply.  He even shook an angry robot fist at him.  He also had no problems with incinerating Starscream (or recognizing him to begin with) which was clearly an act of revenge, imo*.

*I know, I know...

Tazbot that.  Megatron seemed to have a soft spot for starscream whereas Galvatron just didn't give a hoot about him.

Can you blame him. :lol

Megatron lost all benivolence for Starscream the moment he was tossed out of Astrotrain wounded and dying. I personally believe that if Unicron wasn't written into subplot and if Megatron had found away to return things wouldn't have ended up any different for Starscream. That and the PG rating would've allowed him to do so reguardless.

On topic. Galvatron to my Knowledge is just Megatron reformatted and much eviler. Like they say, Same Afterburner, new look. :tflaugh In season 3 he was still megatron reformatted as galvatron only driven insane from first off being defeated and humiliated by a rookie autobot, and secondly from spending way to much time in issolation drowned in lava. The events which transpired on Webworld didn't do much for his sanity either.

why is that?

its not like any of the cons exhibited specific character triats more or less before or after the conversion.

So skywarp became Cyclonus - well he never had a peronality other than Megatron's Starscream and now he's Galvetron's Starscream.  ..

Cyclonus *is* listed in the voice credits at the end.

Clearly Galvatron remebered being Megatron. I would suggest however, that he did not like the fact. Perhaps regarding Megatron as  being inferior, it would explain why he referred to Megatron in the third person.

However, the continuity errors present are probably a more likely explanation....

I think they were one in the same, where ass the others were completly reformatted, brains and all.

I always thought it was funny that in tRoOP, optimus is not only suprised that there is no megatron but someone named "Galvatron" in his place, but he also says, "because I know you to well, Galvatron" as if he knew that it really was megatron all along

I think they were one in the same, where ass the others were completly reformatted, brains and all.

You're probably right.  In FFOD Astrotrain refers to when Megatron was in charge, and Cyclonus appears perplexed by what Astrotrain has just said........
